I've used this park a few times to go for a jog, but a simple jog around the blue or green route is marred by signposting that I never seem to follow very well. I know it doesn't trouble many other people and maybe it's because I'm on the spectrum, but while running I'm not taking my time to remember every turn of a route. I'm glancing up for signs to see if a stretch of path is as long or short as I expected from the map.
The bottom stretch of the green and blue routes have a crossroads, with route arrows on the left pointing in the direction of the continuing path, which it turns out leads you well away from the route. It was only when I went all the way back when I saw the other signpost, all the way across the other side of the path and set back, pointing the correct way. Why are they done this way?
There's also the fork in the path going through the trees up the side of the route where another signpost would have been useful to clarify and remind people. Again, maybe I'm stupid but it would be helpful for anyone with memory and directional problems.
The park is nice and it's got easy and flat routes as options along with the more challenging routes. I just wish the...

Read moreThree stars for this location seems harsh because it is a lovely place to go for a good walk, see some animals, feed the ducks etc. However, the play area for the kids is disgusting.
I appreciate the weather and wild life is natural. That being said, it would be ideal if staff could possibly check the play area over and make sure big sticks/stones have not fallen onto the slide.
The amount of bird poo on both slides was caked on, mixed with moss and twigs, it meant kids went through the whole climbing area to then turn around at both slides causing an issue as they could only come back the way they came. It just meant that not as much enjoyment was had.
The seating area at the café is lovely, but the toilets not so much. It needs someone going in now and again to check, as clearly adults cannot treat a public toilet with the same care as they do their own.
Great select of hot/cold food at the café, the staff are friendly and extremely interactive with any child in the queue which is...
