New Skatepark at Broxtowe Country Park I recently had the chance to check out the new skatepark at Broxtowe Country Park, conveniently located next to the basketball court, and I have to say, it’s a fantastic addition to the area. The first thing that stands out is the incredibly smooth concrete. It makes for a seamless ride and really enhances the overall skating experience. The park features a nice variety of ledges and banks that cater to different skill levels. Whether you’re a beginner or more advanced, there’s something here for everyone. One of the more fun and challenging elements is the brick bank. It adds a unique touch that sets this park apart from others. The flat bar is perfect for practicing grinds and slides, and the volcano speed bump is a great feature for gaining momentum and adding some excitement to your runs. Overall, the new skatepark at Broxtowe Country Park is well-designed and offers a smooth, enjoyable experience for skaters. It’s definitely worth a visit!

Come here daily with my dog. Love it here. There is plenty of space for dogs to exercise, a group of walkers who go daily. A wooded area for a change if scenery. The only downside is parking. There is a lay buy or 2 near the nuthall pub or you will need to park in one of the surrounding estates. There's a basketball court and a kids bike park there as well. Plenty to do! *edit* wear wellies/waterproofs if it has been raining considerably. It gets a bit boggy. Paths are fine to walk on but are prone to big puddles!

Broxtowe Country Park is my go-to haven year-round—snow or sunshine. I’ve uploaded videos and photos showing my dogs loving every trail. This isn’t just a walk—it’s proof of routine, joy, and connection. Safe, scenic, and perfect for dog owners who value real terrain and freedom.

Very nice place especially if you have children or dogs it's nice to have a small piece of country side to be bale to spend time at however I would warn people that it's not really the safest at night as there is no lighting on hardly any of the park making it very dark and with bushes and trees very easy for people to hide I feel that the council should put lights at least along the main footpaths so there would at least be 1 lit pathway to walk from 1 side to another if going at night I would strongly recommend a good torch and ensure you have charge jn your phone and someone knows where you are going or alternatively I can strongly recommend the three word app for areas such as these as the emergency services would be able to find your exact location and you can get ypur location even with no Internet get the app any way you never know when it could help and our emergency services do use it now happy...
