Gunwade Lake — Attraction in Orton Waterville

The glade campsite provides a small area of rough grassland for camping. There is a single cold water tap and sink, and a small sheltered area useful if it's raining. The toilets and showers are shared facilities with the watersports centre, not ideal, limited hot water. However pitch price is high (£28 for 2) then you have to pay £2 to use phone charger which is in reception, which is shut from early evening ! Also the onsite cafe bar closes at 5pm. You can only wash dishes in cold water unless you boil your own, or take them to the showers! Not value for money top price poor facilities for the actual camp. Fine if you want a basic experience and the weather is good. It's the view...

Boating Lake, close to the River Nene, on the outskirts of Peterborough. There is a charge for the parking that is convenient. Good paths all around the lake. Nice cafe on...
