Nice beach and the sea water pool 5 mins walk south is great fun and if you are a serious swimmer it's good too with about 20m of clear water for a decent workout. Sighting is essential so you don't mow down other swimmers, there are no lane ropes! Nice quiet sheltered cove just a bit further on from the sea pool looked good for stand up paddle boarding. Think you can hire these at the shop.

Toilets 50p, no armed guards visible to stop tailgating! 😉. Cleanish but not what I was expecting for 50p; no marble or indoor fountain, most disappointing. Just a plain old bogs that they once used to charge 20p for!

Car park. As long as you are prepared, it's fine. Bring coins, a bank card, and your phone. It didn't like my Google Pay on my phone so reverted to coins. A traditional bank card would probably have been ok. You can pay with the Just Park app too. And yes there is mobile data at Trevone Bay. Important: For safety, make sure that you pay for more time than you are actually in the carpark for as seen by the cameras. Fine print rules and all that, possibly ambiguously crafted (innocently I'm sure) to PCN glide bomb the unsuspecting a couple of weeks after you return home...

Beautiful little beach in a lovely village. Nicest on slightly dull days when it is much less crowded but plenty of space on sunny days too. No dogs allowed in the summer. Lovely walk along the cliff top to the blowhole, and you can walk between the rocky and sandy beaches at low tide. Tidal pool at the rocky end is lovely to swim in. Cafe and shop right next to the beach with hot food, coffee, ice cream, and surf shop does hire boards and wetsuits. Road to the beach is very narrow, no turning or passing places and not really suitable for large vans. Gets very jammed up as you cannot pass 2 vehicles and there is no footpath so also have to pass pedestrians with surf boards etc. Car park is under new managment with numberplate recognition, extortionate rates, and the app doesn't work properly as there is limited mobile signal. Lots of stories of people getting fined for not paying quickly enough or "overstaying" whilst trying to get out. Tip if you don't like parking fines or narrow lanes, follow signage to the alternative car park by the Well Parc pub/hotel (5 mins walk from the beach) £5 all day and much easier to get...

Beware!! Your parking time (whether you find a parking bay or not) starts the moment you enter the car park. They have cameras on the entry and exit. You cannot stop to get out and decide the beach is too busy. You cannot stay in your car while a passenger gets out to use the toilet. You cannot simply enter, realise there are no spaces, and leave within a few seconds. You must buy a ticket for the privilege of entering the car park, regardless of whether you stay 10 seconds or 10 hours.

My polite and well worded appeal was declined. If I wasn’t taking medication for my blood pressure I would pursue this as the company has clearly engineered a situation where they profit from those of us who drive in then out. Apparently we’re all supposed to be able to read the signs that are inside the car park before we enter the car park in order to read the signs that are…you get my drift.

Shame on the council for allowing these highway robbers to operate on...

Trevone Bay is simply beautiful, lovely wide beach, grassed areas to sit if you prefer, good parking with all the options to pay cash, card, app. A slightly overpriced shop that sells food drink alcohol and gifts, however just one thing spoils it, the toilets, due to being privately owned, they charge 50p per visit, apart from being ridiculously expensive, a lot of people just don't carry cash anymore, and the toilets just aren't that great. Clean the toilets up and impose a token system, with the tokens being sold in the shop (where you can pay by card), I would suggest 4 tokens for a 1.00 would be a more reasonable price, if they don't make this move, they'll be encouraging people to 'go to the toilet's elsewhere, then Trevone Bay will be spoilt !!

Lovely beach for families, the little stream provides a perfect place for little ones to safely dip their toes in the water and the sand is soft and clean. The beach slopes gently so even the shallows are fairly safe. It's worth taking a walk up to Trevone Round Hole which takes about 30 minutes to go up, walk around the hole and get back to the beach. The views from the cliffs up there are stunning. The parking sign states that your ticket must be visible face up on the dash, but your timings are clocked by camera coming in and leaving so don't be tempted to over stay and go by the time you enter, not the time you get your ticket. The road down to the beach is very narrow so take it slowly as you will encounter oncoming traffic and pedestrians.

We only visited for last nights sunset so can't really give any detailed feedback on Trevone Bay. The road into Trevone was very tight and caution is advised with oncoming traffic. The car park was up on the hill over looking the beach and cost us around £4 for the hour and half we were there which is a little pricey but on par with other car parks around Cornwall. The beach is only small and was very busy with many there to watch the sunset and take a late night dip. The sunset didn't disappoint and was absolutely beautiful, my 2 children (5 & 11) had never watched a sunset before and will no doubt remember the experience the rest of their lives . Plenty of photo opportunities and will live long in the memory.
