Lovely beach which was really quiet for it's size! We were able to walk a way down and be able to let the dogs off their leads for a good old run. (We are responsible and always pick up their mess and keep them on leads around other people).
We went again a couple of days afterwards and the tide was miles away! We checked the tide times but didn't realise how the tide comes in. We were rounded up by a lovely life guard - turned out we were on an island ha!
There is a paid car park which is a bit of a walk to the beach itself, there's also a cycle route, but if you drive along what feels like a footpath, there is a free carpark just a short walk...
Read moreA fantastic wide open beach, perfect for long walks, relaxing or more adventurous activities such as kite surfing. Even during peak times the beach is so large that you won't ever have a hard time getting a space to sit and relax.
There are nearby public toilets and a small shop serving drinks and ice creams which is a relief on hot days.
The beach is served by a number of car parks so you are no more then a 5 minute walk from the beach itself. You shouldn't have any trouble finding a space.

Plenty of parking up near the beach and you can pay anytime - there are some machines near to the entry point as it isn't clear where they are...my tip of the day! The beach is massive and the sea was far out, but you can see it comes high up so check the tide times....We were lucky enough to see an RAF Hercules C130 circle and complete many touch and go landings and finally a beach landing. Was like our own personal airshow...cool as hell. Walked about 8 miles there and back...
