Pembrey Ski and Activity Centre — Attraction in Pembrey and Burry Port Town

Booked our seven and five year old in for the child’s ski taster lesson, which was an easy process, with an email confirmation immediately afterwards. Our five year old couldn’t make it on the day and the staff were excellent about it, we negotiated a deal and were very happy with their flexibility, thank you again. Booking in on the day was a friendly and easy exercise and the lesson started at the stated time. Class size was great and being a skier myself, I felt enough was covered in the hour for a taster session, enabling our seven year old to carry skis safely, attach the boots and move about with the skis on. Some basic downhill moves were made to get the feel of it all, on the shortest run. Our seven year old really took to it and said the instructions given were easy to follow and carry out. All the class members completed what was instructed of them. There is an excellent raised area to spectate the classes from the cafe veranda or even a little closer on the piste edge with benches to sit at. Plenty of parking space at the ski centre with a payment booth there. The cafe was great too, a good choice of snacks and drinks for most tastes and reasonably priced. All in all, a five star experience and we would have no hesitation in booking again for follow up lessons and will happily promote the venue to others. Thank you...

A lovely little area with the opportunities for skiing on the outdoor dry ski slope, tubing, renting bikes and toboggans. We only used the toboggans and the prices for this activity was very reasonable, our kids really enjoyed it. There's a nice little cafe on site serving hot & cold beverages, snacks and ice creams. Plenty of picnic benches outside to sit at and all were kept clean. Decent amount of parking directly outside the building. The only downfall of this area were the toilets. I walked into the womens and turned straight back around, it was dirty, there was rubbish bags on the sinks with rubbish overflowing over the taps, very dark and unpleasant in there. My son has recently started ski lessons here and he absolutely loves it! He had a taster session and then a private lesson before joining the Saturday morning kids club. Alex who he had his private lesson with was amazing! He kept our son engaged and you could see immediate progress. In his first lesson he was able to turn and control his speed, walk up the slopes on his skis and do a good snow plough. He also got to use the ski lift which he was very pleased about. He now looks forward to ski club every Saturday morning. This is a great hobby for kids to do and very reasonably priced.
