This cross is cast concrete and incorrectly called St Piran's Cross, which is the oldest Celtic Cross in Cornwall. Should you visit here after rain and you park on the road to Mount, there is no access without crossing flooded land. Better to park up at Mount then walk across.

Modern concrete cross that is best used as a landmark for locating St Piran's Oratory which is close by. Marshy area so have appropriate footwear. Popular area for dog walkers but beware as there are also adders in the dunes - i would avoid on hot sunny days in spring.
