Cruel place wallabies should be in their natural environment, not behind a fence in Dorset. They questionably charge £15, to park on the approach road & within their compound overnight, they'd have to pay me, then I'd probably decline. The high angle battery is worth an explore along with the surrounding area. Thanks for your response. If that's what a happy wallaby looks like then I wouldn't want to come across an unhappy one. The questionably charge comment comes from a local that I spoke to,they were surprised that you claim to own the road outside your boundary fence. When it appears that homeless people are living on it, are they charged £15 a night ? Correct ! I do wild camp occasionally, I am also a member of 2 camping clubs, so I do pay to camp at times. I have viewed yours from outside & I really wouldn't want to pay £15 to be disturbed by the 2 dogs that continually bark, thank you. PS Wallabies at zoos are kept in an environment replicating their natural surroundings, a cold barely grazed paddock with a concrete shed,...

My experience with the establishment running this so called farm, was other than a positive experience, both, I found, maybe if you was a family, it would be different, but I found them seriously rude as well as not very nice people, also I had the unfortunate experience of running into a friend of theirs, and to be honest I will probably be paying for that unfortunate event as someone who is extremely quick to pass judgement, and then do maximum damage to your credibility and what you might have left of any respect amongst others, seriously I live on the road, and, since bumping into this little crowd of individuals my experience with people now isn't an easy event, as I don't use Facebook or twitter, ect, I expect my morals and values have been overlooked to be dragged through the dirt and made more suitable for their own making, I've been left feeling quite oppressed.. look out for the nasty piece of work in the white and illuminouse...

This place beats any children's day out for me. I took my two Grandsons for the day and went back again the next day with a friends children. Fancy's Farm offers a totally natural, unspoilt and rural environment, where you and your children can get up and close to the animals, safely. Feed the sheep, watch the Wallabies hop around, make friends with Archie the very friendly goat and marvel at the size of the pigs. And if you are very lucky, you may be allowed to visit the new lambs! And they even have a resident owl! There is a small cafe, a creche, an outside picnic area, space for your children to play safely and incredible views overlooking the sea! Don't expect a commercial environment here, this is a step back in time, where pleasure and fun is simple and easy.

And all they ask for in return is a donation and of course respect for the animals welfare. Give generously, its well worth it! A hidden gem amongst the wonders of...

We stumbled upon Fancys Farm whilst on a walk around Portland... What an absolute gem of a place. Considering it was just myself and the wife... We had such an enjoyable time seeing and feeding the various animals on the farm. Kids or no kids - what a brilliant place to visit with an onsite cafe and toilets as well. I'm not sure why we were so captivated by the super social sheep and goats - the bit where you can walk in the same area as them is truly special. It really did make this a fantastic experience for us. The staff were super friendly and I think it was Jon who gave us insights into their names and behaviours. We've been to a few walk through petting zoos... But it was so incredibly fun to walk around the field with Dash and 'Essy' the sheep following us all the way. We are a long way from home being from Derby, Midlands... But it feels like whenever we're in Dorset next, a visit to Fancys Farm is an absolute must.

Place came highly recommended so gave it a go. We purchased some feed for the sheep/goats and my son had a great time feeding the sheep until a free/roaming goat larger than him ripped the cup out of his hands. This was fine but the staff promptly told him off for feeding this goat too much (not really my son’s fault but whatever). The trip was further affected by the fact that a sheep had its horn stuck in the chain link fence, which I freed. My son told a passing member of staff that a sheep had his horn stuck but that “Papa freed him”. My son was promptly told off as being the reason for the sheep being stuck (???). I see from other reviews that the place is nice and the views cannot be denied as being breathtaking. I guess we just had a bad experience.
