Interesting place. Easy to access and order food - we had pots of tea and a chocolate/almond cake thing (not entirely sure what it was but it was alright!) I really liked the decor inside but I expect some may not find it totally to taste. Very friendly staff so that’s always a great thing and worthy of mention. However, the tea and cake was delivered by a robot which whilst being a cute gimmick and talking point is actually a bit annoying. You have to help it get to your table, you have to then remove your tray of food or whatever and then send it away if it doesn’t realise. Even if you relieve it of your food but it’s before it reached your table it still wants to position itself between your chairs and it kinda gets in the way. It then tries to drive back to the kitchen area and asks people to move and so on
amusing for 30 seconds but I can see it being annoying after a while. No idea what we were supposed to do with our tray and empty cups etc when we had finished, I couldn’t see any way of summoning the robot back! Anyway the tea was really very good, plentiful and thirst quenching so bravo for getting that spot on. Great views, good location, a pleasant experience despite the unnecessary robot đŸ€–

Great little cafe with a fantastic view over Chesil Beach. It was a very breezy day and we were grateful to sit inside. There are lovely tables outside too. It's a colourful, foggy friendly place, as can be seen by the photos of all the doggy visitors. We visited on a Sunday afternoon at 3 pm. They were due to close at 4, the kitchen was closed but still serving hot drinks and cake. Can't comment on the food therefore. Toilets were clean. There's a cute water feature right by the toilets. Friendly waitresses. For the best view you have to wander across the road, gorgeous view over the harbour and Chesil Beach. If a cruise ship is docked, you might see it from there, but more likely from higher up another hill. There's also a stone circle just by the traffic circle, and a war memorial opposite the cafe. Ample free parking at the time we visited.

Brunch at The View! Sat outside, plenty of space between the tables (so the dogs didn't try and join everyone else!). Food was filling and tasty but the real winner is the view. You can sit inside and it doesn't take long for the food to arrive. It didn't seem too busy but there was a steady stream of people arriving. Parking is free at the front of the hotel, prices seem to be on a par with other places, the breakfast sandwiches did seem a little expensive when compared to the breakfasts though.

I recently had the pleasure of dining at The View cafe, and I must say, it exceeded my expectations on multiple fronts. Not only does it offer a delectable vegetarian breakfast, but it is also a fantastic stop for motorcycle enthusiasts like myself.

Let's start with the vegetarian breakfast. The menu at The View cafe offers a wide range of options that cater to vegetarian preferences. From hearty omelettes to mouthwatering pancakes, there is something for every breakfast lover. I opted for their signature vegetarian breakfast, and I was blown away by the flavors and presentation. The scrambled was perfectly seasoned and had a texture that rivaled traditional scrambled eggs. The accompanying fresh and crispy hash browns added a delightful crunch, while the fresh bread was the perfect accompaniment. The menu also featured an array of juices and aromatic coffees that perfectly complemented the meal.

Now, let's talk about why The View cafe is a great stop for motorcycles. The cafe is conveniently located along a scenic route, providing a breathtaking view of the surrounding landscape. The staff at The View cafe are not only friendly and welcoming but also motorcycle enthusiasts themselves. They are knowledgeable about the best routes in the area and are more than happy to share their recommendations. The cafe also offers ample parking space for motorcycles, ensuring that your prized possession is safe and secure while you enjoy your meal.

The ambiance of The View cafe is another standout feature. With its rustic decor, cozy seating, and panoramic windows, it creates a relaxing and inviting atmosphere. Whether you're a solo rider or part of a group, you'll find the cafe to be the perfect spot to unwind, refuel, and connect with fellow motorcycle enthusiasts.

In conclusion, The View cafe is a hidden gem that caters to both vegetarian food lovers and motorcycle enthusiasts. The delicious vegetarian breakfast options, friendly staff, and stunning location make it a must-visit destination. Whether you're starting your day with a wholesome meal or looking for a pit stop during your motorcycle adventures, The View cafe has you covered. I highly recommend adding it to your list of go-to spots. Trust me, you won't be...

Wow, what a place!!! The views are stunning and the cafe itself looks very clean and some lovely tables to seat at with incredible views!

The whole experience unfortunately was one of the worst establishments I’ve ever visited. We arrived at 3:33PM upon entering we had already decided what to order as we had looked online beforehand, after waiting at the bar for a couple minutes with no sign of any staff I had to attract their attention once spotted. We were then met with an extremely aggressive and rude waitress (i think Stella is her name) explaining that the kitchen was closing and we would need to order quickly. She then also shouted to some other customers behind that she wouldn’t be able to serve them (they ended up leaving). We ordered our sandwich’s and 2 cokes and then sat at a table, a robot then brought out one sandwich and nothing else I thought oh maybe the rest will come Soon as they are closing and want to rush each plate out as it was prepared. How wrong I was! After 10 minutes of waiting I approached the bar again to speak to another member of staff and he had explained “sorry, the chef has gone home, I’ll have to refund you” he handed me two cokes and then said actually we had forgot to take it off the robot( we didn’t as we took photos of the robot) then after heading out back he magically appeared with the remainder of our order. Overall the attitude, professionalism of the staff at the heights cafe was terrible. I would 100% avoid and expect to see many more reviews coming around these issues as we were talking to the customers who had been refused service outside and it seems that this isn’t the first time for issues like this to happen. The food itself was also mediocre, they don’t serve chips which can be refreshing however the salad and couscous might seem more fancy but again was of terrible quality and...

Zero stars for my lunch!

Sorry, I try to support local businesses, but this was a really bad experience. I would think twice before eating here.

We ordered an egg and bacon sandwich, my friend had a mushroom burger.

Both were bland and poorly presented. I ate the egg and bacon, but the sandwich bread was totally inedible.

We sat for some time waiting for our plates to be cleared, but in the end, I had to deliver our plates to the counter myself.

I gave feedback on the quality of the sandwich bread that I'd left on my plate, which was wet and pappy.

I'm a regular visitor to the cafe, but only ever have a hot drink. In fact, this was my second visit to the cafe this week, but I will not be returning there again.

Sorry, dreadful food. Poor service.

Update in response to the cafés feedback

This is the first time I've written a complaint using Google review, I've only ever used it to report great service, but I'm sorry, the cafe's response below suggests that I ate my meal. As explained, I did not, it was inedible and I pointed out the poor quality of the meal to the staff in attendance.

The respondent also omits to comment on the staff's failure to enquire about my meal or clear our plates.

My experience of eating at this cafe was really poor and it seems that the management response to my complaint equals the poor quality of their food...
