Westmorland County Showground — Attraction in Preston Richard

A fantastic day at The Westmorland County Show! I had a brilliant time attending the show today. The weather was dramatic—swinging between torrential downpours and glorious sunshine more times than I could count—but it didn’t dampen the experience.

The atmosphere was lively and welcoming, with so much to see and do. I especially enjoyed visiting the animal exhibits and sampling the delicious local food. The Sheep Show was a definite highlight—entertaining and informative!

Great Day out Something for everyone, pedigree cattle, sheep, poultry, etc... pedigree dog show, terrier show, shown horses in hand, ridden classes, jumping classes. Westmoreland wrestling. Stalls selling everything from, farm and country machinery, plant stalls, clothing stalls, tools etc. Plenty of food outlets and toilets. If you decide to go or even enter the show, they have downloads available online a couple of months before the show, remember to set off early and give yourself plenty of time. It took us an extra hour to get there this year due to the sheer volume of cars on the road. Well...

Absolutely Fantastic! Without doubt the Westmoreland Show is one of the best ,( if not the best Agricultural Show in the UK. Amazing! The Food Hall alone is worth a visit. And for those that want to have a greater understanding and respect for British Family Farming then this is the place to visit! Incredible! Has not lost the rural, countryside roots of what life on a UK family farm is all about. Here is a place where you can show your support for British Family Farming. A great day out! Not to be missed.
