Striking chalk cross on a steep hillside overlooking Princes Risborough. There's a small free parking area a few minutes walk from the chalk figure. This makes a good starting point for pleasant walks through the woodland of Brush Hill Nature Reserve, or to the open hilltop where the cross is located. There are fine views over the Buckinghamshire countryside from the hilltop. Bear in mind that the best view of the cross can be seen from the roadside in Monks Risborough, not far from the historic church, as opposed to on the...

I love this place. The view from the top of the hill above the cross, is just incredible. The walk through the beech woods is therapy for the soul. The scent of the trees and soil combine to make a magical concoction which enters your heart and mind and removes any feelings of stress from the hurley burley of everyday life. Standing above the cross you'll see red kites and kestrels gliding and hovering, surveying the scene alongside you. It is simply the best...
