Great forest to explore. My kids love feeding the squirrels and birds. They love wearing there wellies and splashing in the stream. Perfect for dog walkers aswell. This forest also links on to other forests. Parking can be a bit of a issue if it is busy. Sometimes you see cyclists and horse riders which is nice. My kids also like building dens there.

Lovely quiet spot few dog walkers early morning. Great walks but bring your wellies. Car park is not great. Lots of potholes n muck. When I was there a van got stuck n would need to get towed out. Suitable for small vans. Probably holds about 6 vans

Great place for a walk. Very pretty area with a lake as well. Not a lot of parking there although it's free.

This is a great place to visit for all the family. Little note for Rochford council is there any chance the lake can be patrolled by wardens and a day ticket introduced, and signage explaining the do's and the dont's of catch and release (fish) please, as I'm afraid the fish are being eaten daily. Alot of people are turning up with cool boxes and taking the fish away. This is disheartening and cruel, management...

Tucked away, a total delight. 1/2 mile single track road, with passing spaces, gets you there. Two interconnected woods, which all have paths through, lead you down to the stream at the bottom of the hill. Lots of trees have been blown down and provide seats and climbing for little ones. May will reveal lots of bluebells. Families, dog walkers, etc.... go there. ...
