Whether I was strolling along the serene lakeside, exploring the numerous walking trails, or simply enjoying a picnic on the spacious grounds, I couldn't help but be in awe of the natural beauty that enveloped the area.
Another great advantage of Rother Valley is its accessibility. Getting there from the motorway was a breeze, thanks to its convenient location. The park is situated in close proximity to major roadways, making it easily reachable for visitors coming from various directions. This accessibility factor undoubtedly adds to the park's appeal and ensures that anyone can enjoy its wonders without hassle.
What I found particularly heartwarming about Rother Valley was the sense of community and togetherness that permeated the park. Families were picnicking, children were playing, and friends were laughing—it was truly a joyous and welcoming atmosphere. The park seemed to foster a sense of unity, providing a space for people to connect, unwind, and create lasting memories.

Read moreLove paying Rother Valley a visit! Have been there several times this summer. It’s only 25 mins drive from us so very convenient. There’s a beautiful lake to walk around - the walk takes us about an hour in all, but in the nice weather we have been stopping half way and having a picnic and reading for a few hours. You can take your own paddle boards etc and use the lake. You can hire pedal boats, motored boats, bikes and trikes. In the summer there’s a little train that goes round on one side. Ample parking, and if you have a Blue Badge you can park for free always, just have to show your badge at the office and they’ll make a note. Overall a really nice place to visit and walk. There are trails you can do as well, but as of yet we have not tried them. There’s also water inflatables and water skiing that you can pay to use in the summer. There’s a playground for the kids to play. Plenty of picnic areas. It is well looked after as well so always tidy. Oh, and plenty of ducks and geese to feed! Highly recommend to anyone looking for a nice day out or even just a nice lengthy walk with a...

You can walk around the lakes, cycle along the flat paths, or try something more active like paddleboarding, sailing, or using the aqua park. The trails are easy to follow and suit both casual visitors and keen cyclists, while families can enjoy the large play area near the Northern Lake. The park feels calm and open, making it a lovely spot for picnics, walks, or just relaxing by the water and watching the activities around the lakes.
The park has good facilities that make your visit more comfortable. The Stables Café, set in an old 18th-century building, is a nice place to stop for drinks or snacks with lovely views of the lake. There is plenty of parking, with both paid and free options nearby, and clean toilets close to the main area. Everything is well looked after, and the park has a friendly, welcoming atmosphere.
