The children’s play area is mostly well maintained, clean and tidy. Ample swings and baby swings, 2 types of roundabout, a zip wire and toddler climbing frames. There is also a high tube slide with wire netting to climb up which is pretty good compared to other local parks. It can be quite fast and kids up to about 4 may be a little anxious climbing up as it’s quite high. The play area does get considerably muddy for a few days after it rains though. Seating and picnic tables are available to use as well. It’s not cramped in there and even when busy it’s usually comfortable to use.

Plenty of routes to walk around the park, and a duck pond which is fenced off so quite difficult to get near the ducks.

A hot drink kiosk provides tea, coffee etc at a good price and even sell duck food in small bags.

The tennis courts have not been maintained for years and are dilapidated but maybe one day these will be returned to put to use.

An ice cream van also visits the children’s park entrance regularly,...

we love this dog friendly pub. food is pretty much average fare for a national chain with nothing to really get excited about. the things that makes this place special are the friendly staff n the dogs who have recently been moved from the large area to the left of the entrance as you walk in, to a slightly smaller section to the right n behind of the entrance (think u-turn) which means theres going to me less room for the pooch walkers which is a shame, n personally i think a bad idea, as theres bound to be more barking now, which non dog people n idiots will think means they want to fight. the dogs on the otherhand know they just want attention n to say hi to each other. (non dog people.. ever seen a person fight with a smile on their face? no? n you,l never see a dog fighting another dog n wagging its tail. they bark to say they are there n want to play) the range of beers is great, as is...

Very nice park, clean, well looked after, has number of activities (playground, tennis courts, basketball, ...)little cafe, beautiful pond with tortoise island, ideal for families and dog walkers. Not very big (for a proper proper walk) but big enough for dog walkers or to stretch your legs in a lovely leafy and what feels safe environment. Well done to all the volunteers we saw yesterday (on Sunday!) tending...

Very clean and well kept park. Has a football field, pond, exercise machines and a café. The Light Oaks pond is well kept and clean. It's great for a day out, especially if you have children or pets. It would have been nice if it had more benches and seating areas, in addition to a proper playground with swings.

Probably the best park, run by community and neighbours. You can feel that, straight away 💖 Added few photos from surrounding area, just to add that magic in simple words and photos, since you have to be there, to understand!

Lovely clean park with plenty of facilities for the children to play on. Nice little duck pond in the middle and a tuck shop which isn't open at the moment due to covid bit hopefully see it open again soon.
