I had the privilege of eating there once and the food, service and ambiance were A+. I liked it so much that I tried returning twice, but although Google said it was open, both times they were closed. There was a polite notice with the opening dates, the first time due to a family holiday and the second due to a family bereavement. I fully appreciate this is a family business and that makes it all the more attractive for that reason. I would just suggest not getting your hopes too high as they close often as a result, and seem not to have backup options, which is fair being a family-run place. If I could advise the owners, I’d just suggest advertising this on your Google page so others like me don’t make plans to meet people there only to find it closed. First time visit to the area let alone this little gem of a café. We don't live too far away, but just simply never head in this direction from our home.

All I can tell you is that we had quite a sizeable breakfast at a very affordable price; yeah it was very cheap. In fact I'd say the low price was certainly not a reflection of the high standard of food put before us. The Black Pudding Benedict wouldn't have looked out of place in a fancy high end restaurant to be perfectly honest.

This is used be a run of the mill greasy spoon but it has been transformed! Modern and stylish interior. Service was unbelievably quick and the full English is one of the best I've had in a long while. Decent sized mug of tea - they also leave the tea bag in and serve the milk separately so you can choose how strong and milky you want your tea - points!!!
