Gorgeous gardens and can’t believe it’s only been 5 years since work started to restore them. Amazing work by the team. Lovely walks and you can choose whether you want the gravelled paths or a little bit of “off road” exploring. The viewpoint is amazing and there’s even toilets and a drinking water tap which I wasn’t expecting. Can’t wait to see how it evolves as there was lots we didn’t get to explore. Entry is by honesty box, bank transfer or contactless. £7.50 per adult and the money goes to the gardens continued evolution.

Stunning gardens ran by the local community. Very friendly and helpful staff. New easy access path has just been installed. Creating a large wheelchair and buggy friendly area. Walled gardens were exploding with colour when we were there in September. We will definitely be back!

Stunning, sheltered gem on the small island of Gigha. Easily walkable (or cycled, or even driven) from the ferry which runs from Kintyre to the island's only settlement. The gardens have various sections and themes and contain several champion, and many exotic, trees.

Very nice park with a wonderful walled garden. A bit more rustic than other more manicured botanic gardens we have been to but it was charming and a great way to spend a few hours. The viewpoint near the walled garden is the highlight of the tour.

There are free maps available at the entrance and the public toilets are in good shape. Also, there is a very fancy chicken (peacock) roaming the grounds near the walled garden, you might be able to hear him before...

Achamore Gardens are fabulous. The history is equally fantastic...they only originate from the 1940s. They fell into neglect and are now being restored in areas and are restored in other areas. The unique microclimate allows plants to thrive which struggle or cannot survive in other parts of the UK. I recommend that anyone interested in Rhododendrons, Botany and/or beautiful things visit these...
