It's a good place, with some local ingredients. The Isle of Gigha's milk is popular, and they use it as a source to many of their items/dishes. This is great, as it gives the cafe a real sense of local excellence.
However! The review is 3 stars because the cafe experience and dishes can improve by loads. I won't list all the things that I think would take the cafe to a whole new level; but the key is staying local and home-making almost every dish that's served. Ice cream looks amazing (is it inappropriate to have ice cream for breakfast ๐ค) and unusual flavours which need trying out (mango chutney and ginger is on my list). Staff friendly and good prices.
No doggies allowed inside (understandably as can be wet and muddy), but tables outside with great views.
Good on ya folks for creating a nice wee cafe for residents...
