Im absolutely excited and proud to be here in Kirriemuir to see Bon's statue being unveiled today. I cant wait, its going to be amazing.

You totally deserve this honour our Bonnie Boy, and it has been a long time in coming. See you later.

Rock in peace \m/\m/ I went down to Bellies Brae along with the rest of the AC/DC Fans who came to Kirriemuir to see the unveiling of The Bon Scott Statue from as far as Australia. I can say without a doubt that Bon's Tribute is a truly spectacular monument and fitting commoration to the greatest Rock'n'Roll front man of all time. It was an honour to witness the town of Kirriemuir celebrate its famous son. It has been a long time coming.

(OOPS! I already said that! Its so true though.)

"The music was good and the music was loud And the singer turned and he said to the crowd ....Let There Be...

Bon Scott statue Kirriemuir Back in 2013 I was asked by a charity group in Kirriemuir called DD8 to create a statue of a famous Son of Kirriemuir Town. Bon Scott the legendary singer of the rock group ACDC. The town had started creating an annual Bonfest event where folk who appreciate rock music travel from all over the world to attend the festival. The event visitor numbers grew year on year and on 30th April 2016 my bronze statue I created for them was unveiled at the Bonfest. Since then the statue has had fans and visitors stopping in Kirriemuir to see the town's statue to it's famous son every year. The DD8 group maintain the statue in good order and hopefully it should be enjoyed for perhaps another thousand years if they look after it. John...

One of the treasures of Kirriemuir next to J.M. Barrie is none other than Bon Scott from rock and roll 🎸 band AC/DC. We had a dickens of a time finding this statue that was deeply buried behind a car park. We must have made three circles through the bewitched toon, received some spell binding stares and finally we found this statue erected to Bon Scott. Taking a shot in the dark and for those about to rock, if you’re on the Highway to Hell through the mist of time traveling through Kirriemuir and you feel thunder struck and the sounds of Hell’s bells 🔔, take a moment out of your day as it’s a long way to the top and visit Bon Scott because rock and roll ain’t noise pollution! She told me to come, but I was already...

As a long time fan of the band and of Bon its amazing its taken me all this time to come to Kirriemuir and pay homage to one of the best frontman of any rock bands there has ever been , a beautifully depiction of Bon with his bagpipes from Its a Long way to the Top , the descriptive info board, the AC/DC flashes on the metal fence and the lyrics from Let there be Rock at the base of the statue adds to the attraction , its a shame its situated in a car park but im just glad that his hometown has remembered one of the best.
