Great tour, guides were very knowledgeable, very interesting history. Having been born and brought up in Clackmannan, it was fantastic to be able to finally get a place on one of the tours. The only thing I would warn anyone wishing to visit is that between floor levels the access is by spiral stone stairs with nothing to hold onto except the walls. Read moreThis is a great place to walk however wear boots or muddy shoes as this is on a working farm and there are cowpatts hidden in the long grass. There are also no solid paths to walk on and you can't enter the tower as it is unsafe.

The tower isn't open but the external structure is interesting. The grounds offer panoramic views of the area and if the weather is clement, you couldn’t ask for a better picnic location.
