This doesn't look much from the bottom but best to approach it from the left side path rather than the most obvious path straight ahead. The path straight ahead is very steep and difficult with young children. We had to scramble a bit and the loose stones were slippery. Views at the top are well worth the climb.

Braw wee hill with quite an abrupt ascent more or less from the start. Great views from the top if you're lucky with the weather. Lots of sheep about so if you're bringing the dog get him/her on a lead.

Great viewpoint which looks across Loch Lomond, even better if Earl's Seat is added to your route.

Best wee hill of all! Great work out....for all the family. Requires a degree of fitness. I've seen too many abandon this walk simply because they've never walked on Scottish hills before. You'll get away with trainers on a good day but best using walking shoes/boots. We have taken family and friends up this just for the achingly spectacular views, from the "shire" like fields NW to Loch Lomond and Arrocher, 180 to unmatched views of Glasgow. A must sometime...

Dumgoyne hill one of most interesting and enjoyable hills to climb for adults and children as well but some parts of it can be very steap and also dangerous but we met some people who have been before and told us about safer and better routs than the one we took as there were lots of stones and can be dangerous if...
