Nice place for a walk with our dogs. Took them there every morning as we were in the area visiting my Mum. Carpark is free and there is a childrens playground too. The inn on the loch is dog friendly although we didn't go inside. The only negatives is that there is a few joggers, they just appear from behind, one or two didn't like having to pass by the dogs, think they thought that dogs are in the way. Another thing that happened on our first morning of walking there was a dog off lead, came running down and attacked my 2 dogs which were both on leads. It was a pitbull type of dog, luckily both my dogs were unharmed but it was very frightening, alot of noise and yelping from my small cockapoo,my other dog fought back but it was an awful experience. So I advise dog walkers to be wary! On the whole though it is a pleasant walk.

Free parking and quite peaceful. Certain times of the day it is pushed with dog walkers so if you want a peaceful walk go early. Lots of wildfowl on the water and a nice place. There is a cafe at main entrance but didn't spot any public toilets.

Great park with good kids playground, suitable for all ages. Nice, large loch with ducks and swans. There's a large carpark but it does get busy when the weather is nice. A nice place to go for a walk. Wholly recommended if nearby.

Great place for a walk, approx 1 mile round the loch. There is a modern park for kids to play with things for bigger and smaller children to play on. There are wooded areas to explore, my youngest son enjoys "bear hunting"

There is a brilliant little snack bar, decent parking facilities, and the inn on the loch for a more fulfilling meal. In summer there r little boat things u can go out in in a ringed off area for a few pounds.

I would recommend exploring the wooded area to the back right of the lock as it has lots of paths etc to explore.

4 stars as the only thing that really is a draw back for me is the amount of dog mess you can...

A man made Loch. Has pike and carp. Is nice on nice day and happily busy Damselflies at sometimes, horses trekking too, frogs not so much. Has an overpriced restaurant at Is. Car park only full when sun shines. Oh yeah...decent paths and disabled access to circular path Good kids play park for once in this area. Too many untrained dogs and what they leave behind. P s why do folk pick it up I wee bags then leave...
