Park at the Corrimony Cairn car park then walk just under a mile further along the road, past the small postbox on a pole and you will see the first RSPB symbol on a post, keep going straight up the path, eventually you will see a metal signpost stating 5km to reserve & 8.6km to Loch. We walked to the Loch, only birds sighted were Tits & at the Loch - tadpoles. Whole walk took a couple of hrs, mostly uphill through the trees to the moorland & slightly downhill to Loch

The information were limited, so we passed the car park near Corrimony Cairn and needed to come back. We wanted to see the waterfall but could not find it but the river run through it was absolutely beautiful. Eventuality enjoyed the walking.

Very atmospheric place. Parking close by. Good information board. A special place.

As a visiting Birdwatcher this is quite possibly the worst RSPB reserve I've visited. There is a vague Information board placed next to the Corrimony Cairn car-park. The actual reserve is over half a mile away but u'd never guess it from the useless directions. An allegedly way-marked trail starts further along the road but its very easy to miss as its a tiny arrow on a stump. The reserve seems to consist of an uphill track for a mile and a half which then peters into nothing leaving you with an equally dull return along the same track. It would be fair to say that the reserve is for the benefit of the birds not the birdwatcher. This wouldn't be so bad if there were birds to see !! Black Grouse are the target species but without local info. the chances of finding them are slim. The place needs active management as even the RSPB website will give you a Postcode for the Nearby Village and not the reserve. Dunno...

It wasn't the usual experience of an RSPB reserve. There's a little car park, and nothing else. The signage isn't clear, I wasn't sure where to go. If I'd had more time, I could have explored further and got higher up where I'd expect more...
