If you are feeling fit, climb up to see the old WW2 gun battery installation , a fascinating piece of our Wartime coastal defenses, you can still see where the guns were housed , and some of the buildings remain standing, there's also an information board about them as you near the golf course .
Below the cliffs there is also a chain walk if you are feeling brave enough. It's also part of the Fife coastal walk , and well worth trekking as it takes you into the lovely town of Elie , another Scottish treasure.

Read moreOn one of the busiest weekends in May we arrived late to our own caravan to find a smell of gas. Having 2 young sons we were apprehensive about staying and the thought of having to drive an hour and a half home even less so. The staff went above and beyond to assist. At 10.30pm they managed to find us a caravan at their sister site for the night, which allowed the issue to be investigated & resolved the following day. Both park mangers came to ensure we were ok and Karen, the bar manager did everything she could think of to keep us in Fife for the evening. Thank you Bryan & Karen at Elie & Jeff at St Andrews. Park at the end of the large caravan park....which gives you the handy facilities....cafe/loos/adventure pirate ship. Coastal path snakes by. Bit smaller and more sedate than Elie up the road.
