Sea stack accessible by a stone staircase, atop which is the remains of a Viking-era settlement and a chapel. The origins of the chapel are dated back to the 10th or 11th century.

The Brough is an easy walk from the nearby Mull Head car park. The stone staircase is rough at points but short, with beautiful views of the surrounding cliffs. The climb is steep, but a steel chain bolted into the cliff makes the ascent a bit easier and safer. The top of the sea stack itself is grassy and peaceful, and makes a good place to rest if you're making the hike around Mull Head. There's not much to see of the settlement that existed there, but the chapel ruins are relatively intact. Well worth...

An exhilarating walk down one cliff and back up the other side to stand a top the Brough. Down the first cliff are wooden steps and handrails. Back up the other side are rock cut steps and a gravel path with a metal chain to hold onto. Quite the thrill to leave Mainland and walk across onto a now freestanding lump of rock in the sea. The remains of the Chapel and some other buildings on top,of the Brough. Amazing views across to Mull Head. A must see and...

A splendid walk to a beautiful place. The walk up onto the Brough looks more intimidating than it is in reality. Once up there it has splendid views and a fascinating collection of bumps and hollows which allow the imagination to run wild as you try and reconstruct site in your mind’s eye. You are likely to have the place...

There is a beautiful walk along the cliffs starting at the Mull Head car park. Bring appropriate shoes as certain parts can be muddy. The path to the Brough is currently closed due to a landslide (April 2023). So you can't visit the ruins of the capel there, but the walk was enjoyable though with stunning views of the Brough.

The walk to here from the main path is easier than it looks, as long as you do not mind heights and steep drops. Its best to hold the chain all the way up and down. The views are fantastic and there are the remains of a small chapel. If you are walking on Mull Head, this is definitely worth doing.
