As their site has quite an emphasis on warm clothes, I checked that they allow shorts. They do, there were a fair number wearing them, and it throws me logically how those folks knew without checking, that they would not get turned away. Yet if As their site has quite an emphasis on warm clothes, I checked that they allow shorts. They do, there were a fair number wearing them, and it throws me logically how those folks knew without checking, that they would not get turned away. Yet if they all checked, by consumer leverage there would be an answer onsite. Certainly they have to allow shorts to be autism friendly, as the 5:30 bus is listed as being. The trail's shape, mostly around a loch shore, enables them to surround the shore area with colour, reaching deep enough into the trees for effect. It is such a transformation of environment it really works as an immersive experience, more so for 2025's theme of mind/nature bonding. Of course what it's really celebrating is tamed nature made safe for us. As we need nature to be. The comfort of being there comes from civilisation being in charge of the space, as you know you would not be there at night otherwise, and the event paths' bubble in contrast to the fotest beyond reminds you so. Even more, you remember it's only safe thanks to our forbears making wolves extinct in Scotland, so would be taken away by the jerks who want to bring them back. The event's nature actually shows logically why we should not romanticise raw untamed nature. Pizza/burger/churro stores too expensive, but atmosphere sitting around them nice even when not buying. Popularity ensured continuous flow of buses back. The journey back passed homes and their residents obviously should be allowed to get off at their homes not forced back to Pitlochry centre.

I have been dying to go to this event for years and it did not disappoint. The light displays and the music was all great. There were a lot of people but you could often get a little away from others. Watching any of the shows did mean being tightly packed with lots of other people. However, because it was all outdoors and the shows were not overly long, it didn't matter too much for the short time you were smooshed. We really appreciated the food options as everything we tried was super tasty. We would have appreciated maybe a few more places to sit. Each area was always tightly packed which led to a lot of table swooping but we did get seated each time we needed to (even if it was only for a couple members of our group). They had a very slick operation going with constantly running buses. We had an early entry time which meant we were able to get parked relatively close to the bus drop offs. By the time we had gotten into our cold weather clothes, all the spots in the car park were gone. I highly recommend coming early if you are driving yourself. We arrived right within our allotted window and didn't have to wait long at all for a bus. On the way back, there was a much long line to return to town but we were having such a good time that it didn't bother us.

We had been over ten years ago, but this year we got an opportunity to also bring our kids along. What an amazing opportunity for us to experience the largest and most popular light show in Scotland on a beautiful autumn evening. Once we parked up, we made our way along to the Fishers Hotel in the high street of Pitlochry, who are the official sponsor and we you leave on the coaches to Faskally Wood, less than 10 on the coach to get there. The team were great, even as we were queuing, the stewards made sure everyone we excited and ready for the show. The show was amazing and it felt like we could feel the heartbeat of the forest through the sounds and lights. There were toilets as you arrived, and as we walked around, a great selection of food stalls, to cater for young and old alike. All the different aluminations and curated lights are so beautiful and we were all in awe and taken aback by the creation of the show. I would recommend booking well in advance to make sure you get the day and timings you'd like. I have included a few photos and videos as tasters of what we saw and experienced This annual light show, them in 2025 Luminara 'A world where nature and technology co-exist to create perfect harmony. A Living Network'

I've never been before so wasn't sure what to expect. Really enjoyed whole enchanted forest from start to finish. The staff helped direct us to the limited blue badge car park. Which was close to start of enchanted forest walk. Had food vans dotted along trails. Prices high for what we got, but not a surprise either.

As to the forest, was brilliant seeing work done during first walk through as it was still light enough to see the setup of light devices in amongst trees etc.. Creating such vivid colours and shows as well, with music, talking parts and overall a brilliant experience to go do. The weather was perfect, we had storm a week ago. The show was cancelled due to weather. So coming here a week later and having just best weather you could ask for made all the difference to me and everyone else on Friday night. Paths were open and dry, so no muddy trails. Same with trees, the forest. Hardly a drop of wind, was such a calm evening. So we could all enjoy the Enchanted Forest and not be either wet and cold or watching where you walked if paths were wet. No it was perfect evening for adults and children. There was lots of families on first walk through. Would be less scary at opening time, 6pm to onwards to walk through forest whilst it was light enough. Understandably so, once it got dark, it could be scary for a small child. Hopefully not, I'm sure parents did plenty reassuring as music played and enchanted forest did it's magic from start to finish of enchanted forest walk.

Also a big shout out to Rick and rest of staff, who did a fantastic job. They were brilliant at giving directions to disabled parking. I've never been to enchanted forest before, so they were great at explaining where to go and why. As they had very limited car park spaces for enchanted forest visitors. They also have buses running from Pitlochry to the forest. Also have a bus suited for disabled visitors as well.

Thankfully when we went on Friday. We'd managed to book in plenty time, enabling us to get a parking pass. So if you want to drive as close as possible to the Enchanted Forest. Book earliest as possible and before going take screenshots of email receipts (and pass) They'll scan your mobile device your using. Save in your moby gallery, then you'll have access no matter phone signal. Or print paperwork for enchanted forest (and car park) If don't have a mobile phone or access to forest...

Never again.

Paid £50 for two tickets to stand in a bus queue for 45 minutes just to get to the 'event'. Once there we shuffled around behind the rest of humanity and edged past the countless selfie-takers. Was asked by several jolly stewards whether I was enjoying myself but was too angry/disappointed to pop their bubble with a flinty reply. The burger/hotdog vans dotted around the "attraction" did a roaring trade.

The whole thing had all the allure of a Manchester lads' stag-do outing to Blackpool Illuminations. And just to complete the picture of the atmosphere, someone threw up next to us in the initial bus queue. This was a Tuesday night, 11th October 2022.

Making a mini-bonfire of ten £5 notes would have been more entertaining. And better value.

The whole thing is totally over-hyped, over-sold, under-resourced (the buses - there should be twice as many to cope with the number of visitors) and massively over-priced for what you get. Reading older reviews it seems that this event started off as a novel and quite cool experience. But the organisers appeared to have economised on the light show and generally under resourced the entire event in order to milk bigger profits. Our experience was that it's extremely poor value for money and quite lame.

Oh, and the queuing, the epic queueing....only the British would put up with a 400m queue in the light rain or drizzle. Decided not to wait for the buses to take us back to Pitlochry from the Disenchanting Forest, so walked the mile and a half back...
