This is a lovely place to walk. Was really quiet we only saw a few people. Please bare in mind this is not a buggy suitable walk, the paths are not flat and there are quiet a few stiles. Slightly disappointed that all the trees in the area have been cut down. There is not really anything telling us why or what the plan is with the area where the trees are. I'm hoping they are planting some native trees to replace the conifers that have been removed.

Hard to really leave a review of a reservoir so I'm posting this review of it as a beauty spot. I went there with my youngest son who is an avid wild swimmer, as am I. We swam out into the middle of the lake and just floated there enjoying the beautiful scenery and the blissful serenity of the place.

Beautiful place to walk around with fantastic views. There is some muddy parts on the path especially in autumn, make sure to wear good shoes. If coming by car park on Dale road.

Nice circular walk around Dale Dike resevoir. Be prepared for a couple of narrow bridges, styles and some steep steps. Can be pretty muddy under foot in poor weather. If you choose to walk up to the folly it is quite steep with a few boggy patches. I would give it a difficulty rating of 3/5 maybe 4 for the full walk but...
