Gog Magog Hills — Attraction in South Cambridgeshire

No card payment for parking!!

Love this place, great walk around the hill which is all inclosed - great for dogs that can be off the lead! There is also an option for dogs that need to be on the lead too.

I've seen lots of people comment asking why it's called gog magog. I always thought it was because of an old fairy tail story.. Gog and magog are two giants that are buried there hence the two giant hills.. Could be wrong but this is what I was told...

Possibly Cambridge's best ever view point which overlooks Addenbrookes hospital and the City / University premises. You can park here (£3 for the whole day - somewhat expensive) & set off for a walk. You will see a nice view point when you reach the top bit. Then, you can do a circular walk around the hill area which is fairly easy and doesn't take a long to complete. I go there much less now that parking is charged for. Its a shame cambridge has so many beautiful outdoor areas, that are only conveniently accessed via car. And that on top of that expense, one is charged quite a lot for parking too. Effectively it prevents people on lower incomes having use of these public assets. Beautiful location. Great view...
