This is where a tank was rescued from the sea following practice for d day landings. Very moving tribute to lives lost with good information available at the site. There is a nice cafe and shop near and lovely sands. Steep drive down hill to site from salcombe road.

A tranquil spot next to the bustling beach. This nature reserve exemplifies the energy of trees with water, serenaded with beautiful bird song. A peaceful place for a walk anytime of the year.

Our 'go to' place to take visitors. On one side of the road we have the sea, and the other the freshwater Ley. Places adjacent to eat and drink at Torcross, by the WW2 tank memorial. The other WW2 memorial a brisk 1 mile walk along the footpaths either side of the road. And the walk around the Ley from theret includes a board walk and ends at a bird hide. And people complain about modest parking charges? Can they afford a car? Get a...
