I've been visiting the Richard Jefferies museum for a long time now, the people who run it are vollenteres that attend infrequently, as you can expect that normally means they are very sociable and try hard but cannot always answer all questions or know all the information. This doesn't matter too much as there is normally someone somewhere that can. I enjoy the friendly and relaxed atmosphere.
The Richard Jefferies museum holds many events throughout the year but not every weekend, so it's best to check ahead, the events are normally aimed at family and learning, seasonal and history themes.
I've taken toddlers there for nature events, pensioners there for history and tea in the garden and adults there for music events.
I've also been to poetry and book reading events, apple/cider press demonstration with a steam engine and train events.
