Very pretty park: small, and too 'open' near the main road for me to feel comfortable letting my pup off the lead for a run, but it's a nice little walk-through on the way to the cemetery 🙂 What annoyed me was the response from the other dog walkers we came across while in the Redhead Park.. We met at least four older couples with smaller dogs: two of which picked their little dogs up completely when they saw my daughter and I coming towards them with Muffin! 🙈 What exactly they thought she was going to do to their dogs is beyond me - yes, she's an XL Bully so she's a very big dog. However, I've had dogs my entire life, and she is by far, the nicest natured dog I've ever had - or even met, for that matter 🤷🏼‍♀️ She loves EVERY dog she sees - even dogs that have previously nipped her (seriously!) - and wags her tail for every person we meet when we're out and about, she loves making friends 🐶 Please stop judging dogs only by their appearance - there are NO bad dogs, only bad owners. And I'm not one of them 🙂

Very nice park, great place to walk your dog and lots of friendly dog walkers and opportunities to socialise your dog. There are fairly well kept tennis courts with nets out all summer. There is a multiple use games area and a kiddies play area. It also has a lawn bowling club. The only down side to the park is the bad dog owners who don't clean up after their dogs. There is also an issue with drinkers and drug users who generally use the park late evenings and tend to leave a lot of litter (including broken glass). Generally the litter is removed quickly by the local council and dog walkers.

Another great palce to take dogs like those below. Long dog would love to run round a lovely park like readhead.

In red head park, the play park section has been altered. As a person with a family I am not happy about this! The swings for the older children have been turned into a bucket swing! We are incredibly hurt by this decision considering it was my child's first place she swung and learnt to go on the swing independently. If you don't change this I will keep making bad reviews. I used to love this place. This has tainted my...
