Madhatters Tea Room — Restaurant in South Tyneside

We visited Madhatters Tea Room today and were greeted by the lovely, friendly owners. The tea room itself is absolutely stunning, very quirky and completely delightful. The decor is beautiful and the stained glass window is spectacular, especially from the inside when the light shines on all the colours of the very detailed design. Visited today with 2 friends and for the first time ever I was 100% satisfied with the food, service and the decor. All food was home made with a lovely cup of tea and old fashioned little cups and tea strainer. I will certainly be back especially for a slice (or two ) of the gorgeous looking cheesecake. Visited today for the first time, myself my sister & 2 children. Honestly can’t wait to return! The food was delicious, service was OUTSTANDING. Place was lovely & clean. Loved reading all the different sayings on the walls, decor is just fabulous kids were so excited when they seen all the photos on the walls.
