What a place. It's about a good mile walk from the nearest official car park and if paying by mobile, you can extend the parking time to suit your needs, as when you get to the cove, you won't want to leave. The best way to get to the cove is by boat but this option isn't available to everyone. The beach has a mix between soft sand and pebbles although the pebbles appear to win in this competition. If you are foraging for shells then there is plenty to find including crab and Lobster claws along with the much coveted sea glass. If you are after a touristy type beach this one is not for you. No ice cream seller no drink cellar, just what you can carry. The scenery is stunning and there is plenty of rocks to climb and water to swim in. The beach is on the top 10 secret coves of Cornwall list.

This is more like a beach with soft sand and sheltered from the wind making it an ideal sun trap. Easy access from the Coast path. So tranquil it is easy to distinguish the different bird songs in the nearby woods

Gorgeous walk from Helford to St Anthony. Can get quite muddy so worth using boots but the views of the Helford estuary are well worth the effort!

Many people will never experience this. Many people will walk by it. And according to Google reviews some people will rate this lower than its worth because it "lacks facilities". Well if your idea of a fantastic beach experience is an overpriced ice cream cone at St Ives, then, yes, this isn't for you.

Bosahan is a 30 min hike along the coastal path from the Helford car park. Once you get to the first Cove (after making it through the forest) keep going to the second, which is Bosahan. Half pebble, half sand with shells galore and glorious bluey/green water.

This place is more popular than it used to be, so my suggestion is get there early 9-10am, because a few more will have rocked up by midday (either by foot or boat), however it is never uncomfortably busy for such a small location. Some people will either bring a bbq or use the more-stoney area (of the beach, which is thankfully to the rear) to create a fire pit and cook up lunch/dinner.

It is incredibly tranquil and could quite happily spend...

An idyllic place with fantastic views across to falmouth, Dennis the pennis castle, and at. Mawes. The walk from helford is good and not too difficult. The coast path leads Gillan bay or creek, I think. Well...
