Cars are not permitted in the village - you need to park in a National Trust car park at the top of the winding lane. Read moreNot a bad place but nothing to excite. Not much sand but lots of rock pools for kids to get in and out of. Hunting under rocks for crabs was fun. However, little place for ice cream is a traditional cornish RIP off. Tiny tiny icecream for £2 and near impossible to find a bin to put the waste in. Car park is at the top of the hill so a bit of a walk down and up, not that that is bad, but after a time on the beach with tired kids, it's not fun trunching back up the hill. Views...

Nice display in the National Trust shop/information center very interesting to read about the history. We enjoyed the ice creams 🍦 from there (National Trust prices but they were tasty).
