Stannon Stone Circle: Parked at the small junction to the old China clay site. Walked about 500m up the track and to the right. Totally peaceful, quiet, and wild. After a period of contemplation, I carried on across the Moor to Louden Circle. If you like a bit of solitude, this is for you.

A wonderful experience and the stone circle was lovely. I walked around it and counted 82 stones !!! Took my 93 year old Mum to look at it. An outer world experience with Roughtor rising in the distance like an extinct volcanoes.

Charming Bronze Age stone circle. However, very awkward drive to get to, lots of animals (ponies, cows, sheep), and rather boggy when it has been raining.
