Overall I think our experience was fine. It wasn't great or terrible, but somewhere in the middle.

We visited on a bank holiday weekend so we did expect it to be quite busy, which it was. Lots of screaming kids inside the cafe area which was to be expected, but it also meant the queue and wait to be served was quite a while. They looked quite short-staffed which meant we watched a few orders get mixed up (fortunately all we ordered were a pair of overpriced sausage rolls so our order was okay). They could definitely have used more of a hand behind the till as it looked quite chaotic with the lunch time rush.

Now on to the deer park! We decided to take the 2 mile walking route, aware they describe it as not something for "faint of heart". However we didn't expect that to mean we would be sinking into a deep sludgy pits of mud. I thought it would be a paved or gravel walk at least however it was just grass the entire way around so if you intend to visit, please please bring some good boots! Wellies were getting stuck in the mud for the family in front of us and our own shoes are now absolutely caked in mud unfortunately.

The deer themselves were elusive and quite distant and we only got a good look at them towards the end of our walk after an hour and a half of trudging through mud. The views were quite spectacular from the top of the hill but unfortunately that is the very start of the walk and the rest of the way is downhill or on the way back up where your focus needs to be watching where you step as opposed to taking in the sights. The deer were in the distance but really it was so muddy we couldn't enjoy it too much.

I think with a few improvements this place could be perfect. A gravel path in place of grass would prevent the screaming of children getting stuck in the mud, a few more benches at the bottom of the hill so people can catch their breath and perhaps a few map boards along the route with information, images and maybe some binoculars attached to the fence would make the walk around a bit more enhanced. After an hour, it started to just feel like a muddy walk and not a deer watching experience.

The staff were all very lovely and friendly, so cannot fault them whatsoever. The indoor shop and cafe area was clean and the atmosphere was typical of a kids attraction area so bear that in mind...

My partner and I visited about two weeks ago with my three year old daughter and we had a brilliant few hours.

Our first stop was the outdoor park which was located at the entrance to the deer walk. My daughter loved playing in it and we had difficulty trying to persuade her to leave so we could go on the deer walk. Eventually we got going...

The walk around the deer park is advertised as "not for the faint hearted" but as a family used to spending time in the great outdoors, we didn't find any part of the walk challenging, even with a toddler in tow. Granted there were times when we had to carry the little one due to the distance involved (2 miles apparently) but we didn't find any parts of the terrain too difficult. There is a one way system in place and a very steep hill to get down into the valley towards the start (there are also steps on this hill if needed) but the climb back up the hill is very gradual so was not at all challenging for us. We saw plenty of deer and even stopped and had a picnic on the grass at around the half way point, only to later find an unoccupied bench just around the corner. Doh!

Afterwards we had a coffee and a slice of cake. We thought the prices were very reasonable and the cake was delicious. We then went into the indoor play area/cinema room. Once again my daughter enjoyed playing on the playground and riding the tractors around the hay bale track. She only spent a few minutes sat on a giant beanbag to watch Ratatouille, what with the short attention span of most toddlers, but I thought the cinema room was quite cool and I would have happily sat there and watched an entire film. All the facilities and buildings had a fresh clean look to them. It's my understanding that this is a fairly new attraction and it definitely shows.

Staff were very friendly and for the very low cost of entry, it was extremely good value. We were very lucky as the weather was great but even if you went on a rainy day and just went to watch a film with your little ones, it would still be cheaper than a trip to a cinema. Will...

I had been searching for a deer experience for my partner for quite some time, and we were thrilled to come across The Great Wedlock Farm and Deer Park while holidaying in Pembrokeshire. We had the most amazing experience! We visited on a quiet weekday and practically had the place to ourselves, which made it even more special.

From the moment we arrived, the staff were incredibly welcoming and friendly, nothing was too much trouble. A special mention to the lovely lady in the cafe who even brought our coffees over to us while we were booking our buggy experience, such thoughtful service!

We began by exploring the deer terrace, where we were instantly greeted by a herd of adorable and quirky fallow deer. Feeding them was such a joy! Afterwards, my partner drove a buggy around the park, led by our fantastic guide Nick B. Nick was absolutely brilliant, so knowledgeable, engaging, and friendly. We learnt so much about one of our favourite animals and got remarkably close to both the fallow and majestic red deer, including the impressive regal stag King and his sons.

It was a magical and unforgettable experience. We were so impressed we ended up purchasing a stunning pair of stag antlers to take home and display as a memento. Huge thanks to Andrew and the whole team, you're doing something truly special here. Best of luck with the continued success of the park. We can’t wait to return and would highly recommend the buggy experience to anyone visiting, you won’t be...

We visited this fantastic deer park on Tuesday 2nd April 2024. What a brilliant new place this is! Very easy to find and park and once in , we entered a lovely big heated barn with a fantastic cafe. All beautiful homemade cakes, sausage rolls and tasty pizza and much more to cover all kids and adult appetites. Then we entered a separate huge barn with a wonderful indoor cinema areas with 3 movie changes a day and then on the others side a ride on pedal tractor circuit plus a pool table for older children! So if our UK weather doesn't hold out still plenty to do undercover! We then walked the full lap of the park which took about 1 hour and the kids loved it . Running and chasing eachother plus completing an Easter egg quiz around the circuit and getting a prize at the end! We saw so many deer as we walked around it was a great experience especially for out children. We then went out to the play park and the children thoroughly enjoyed their park experience. This is a must to come and visit as we all know as a family there are limited things to do and I feel this ticks all the boxes for a family day out and the entrance fee is at a low great price compared to most. Service was fantastic and we really ccouod not fault the park. We can't wait to come back soon and try the buggy deer safari! An excellent day and excellent concept. Hannah c
