After battling our way down the narrow lane in the car after the Minack Theatre, we came to the chapel car park which was £2 all day. It was a tight squeeze, so if you have a big motor home or large camper then by all means give it a go but you've been advised. The path to the beach is opposite where the car park turn is, easy. So, here's where people are undecided... the path down to the beach is no problem, pretty steady, it's only the last 10 meters that it gets a little uneasy, if you're on your own, great, but if you've got small kids, you will have to carry them (mine are 2 and 4). I got the kids down there fine and I wouldn't hesitate doing it again. The reward you get for your efforts is a glorious beach with a beautiful clear sea, stunning from above and at sea level. Just a note, there are no lifeguards or facilities on the beach but along the path you travel to the cove you'll see cream tea and refreshments. Hope you enjoy it as...
Read moreGetting to this beach is tricky on 2 counts. Driving there you have to negotiate the Minack theatre traffic which the roads to are narrow. Once passed the theatre keep going, the road gets even narrower and you think you can't go any further, but the Chapel car park is just on the right down the hill eventually.. £3 all day.. Next is the walk to the beach. The walk down is okay narow footpath, however once you gone down the steps about halfway down the rest is very difficult.. The bottom part is a decent down on uneven rocks... I would strongly suggest putting on walking boots or trainers and NOT flip flops as many were doing and struggling, slipping. Also recommend you don't attempt unless relatively fit and good footing control.... I had trainers on with a rucksack and found it dicy.. So please be careful and take...

Too many times I read the above phrase on reviews and have been disappointed . If you have the patience to navigate the crowds of Porthcurno and Monaco Theatre then you’ll eventually get to St Levan’s Church where you can park.
Down a small track until you get a wooden bridge then a small descent down onto the beach ( I wouldn’t want to be doing it with small kids or someone less abled.)
We was fortunate enough to time it correctly with the tides, I imagine on high tide that there isn’t much of a beach here. However once you are on the beach it’s unspoilt, I put that down to no parking or shops nearby.
Is it the best beach in Cornwall, I’m not certain however it certainly is up there with the likes of...
