This place is great. Spent an hour here with a 7 and 9 year old. Everything is done to 1/12th scale and looks great. Family entrance (summer 2020) was £6. Photography isn't allowed but I grabbed one for the review so you could see what to expect from the layout. There is a viewing deck for kids and you get a magnifying glass each on entrance.

Easy to get to and not expensive to get in. Some amazing models by real craftspeople. Currently the signage/settings need some TLC but that doesn’t detract too much from the exhibits. Took us an hour or so to look around. Nice that the entrance fee includes use of a magnifying glass … because they are needed to see the details.

This was a superb museum to visit, with miniature model displays from varied time periods! The displays include rooms showing people spending engaging in activities and sitting with each other, showing theatres for the leisure part too. Miniature houses and shops are shown, as is a cute little railway display!

This miniature museum has some truly stunning work. A room from the Palace of Versailles is very accurate, there was an extraordinary display with a library of books ( believe 100) and each book is an actual book with handwoven pages...the detail in each display is really something to behold and is a true labour of love by the artists.

It is a shame that this place wasn't presented better, it needs alot of tlc and doesn't do justice to the displays. Some which were poorly lit and I had to use my phone torchlight to see anything. Magnifying glasses are included. Maybe charge a little bit more and spruce up the place a bit? It's well worth a...

Magical Miniature World – Free and Fascinating!

A lovely surprise just outside Carlisle! A World in Miniature Museum is tucked inside a garden centre and completely free to enter. The displays are mind-blowingly detailed—tiny rooms, furniture, and even books you can only admire with a magnifying glass!

No photos allowed, but honestly, it makes you slow down and truly appreciate the craftsmanship. A peaceful and inspiring little stop—definitely worth a visit if you're...

5 stars for the craftsmanship, but a poor show on the maintenance of the place. The time and work put into these is worthy of better! Lighting needs fixed in areas and there are big sections of nothingness in the “museum”. We were so excited to visit and not at all disappointed by the artwork, but certainly disappointed with how it is now displayed/treated.

Note: It’s now free to enter, just borrow a magnifying glass from the...
