This is a lovely farm park, more park than farm however, it ticks all the boxes for my two daughters aged 1 & 3. The place is a little old and dated but perfectly functional. Loos with baby change in the ladies, not sure about men's. Cafe sells pre packaged sandwiches for £2.20 and £2.60 I think, cold drinks £1 and a variety of cakes and crisps as well as hot drinks. Staff were lovely and friendly. Lots of seating inside which has been slightly spaced out. Large 3 story indoor play frame and smaller separate play frame for younger ones. Again, dated but great fun according to my 3 year old. Outside there are a variety of animals including rabbits and goats that you can pet. Unfortunately it seems that the bouncy castle/inflatable slide has now gone which is such a shame but there are lots of outdoor bits to keep the kids entertained. Ride on mini tractors, peddle carts, open and covered sandpit, tractors to sit on, play frames, combine harvester play frame as well as other bits. Pricing wise, I think £7 per adult is a bit steep but seeing as my 1 year old was free, we didn't mind so much. Once we have to pay for her, I don't know whether we would pay £27 for entry for us all. Overall, a good afternoon out and we'll most likely go back.

Rookery Open Farm in Northampton is a delightful haven for families, especially those with children. This charming farm offers a unique blend of outdoor and indoor activities, making it a perfect day out. The farm boasts an impressive array of animals that are sure to captivate the little ones. From fluffy lambs to curious goats and even the occasional cheeky pig, the farm provides a hands-on experience with a variety of friendly creatures. The opportunity for children to interact with and learn about animals adds an educational element to the visit. What truly sets Rookery Open Farm apart is its fantastic indoor soft play area. This space is a godsend, especially on those unpredictable weather days. It's a haven for energetic youngsters to burn off steam, climb, slide, and let their imaginations run wild. The soft play area is a well-thought-out addition, providing a perfect balance to the outdoor farm experience. The farm's commitment to creating a family-friendly atmosphere is evident, and the indoor soft play area complements this vision beautifully. So, whether you're petting farm animals or watching your children explore the soft play, Rookery Open Farm ensures a memorable and enjoyable outing for families.

Took my 15 month old here today. A lovely day out and considerably less than some farms. This is a working farm so there is plenty going on. We even had the privilege of watching a lamb being born. The outdoor area is lovely and there is plenty for children to do. I'm sure this is packed in the warmer months. The only downside for me was the soft play (for under 4, we didn't use older area), it was a bit sparse and needed a clean. They had a machine for blowing balls in the air but no balls. The bricks in the "ball pit" had also seen better days. My son could only play on the lower level because the steps were too high for the second level and so I couldn't help him access the spiral slide. He was quite sad he couldn't copy the other children or use the slide. It would be great if the lower level could be improved for the little ones to really enjoy. Cafe is basic. Handy food if you didn't prepare but worth bringing a picnic as its only basic sandwiches. All in all, a lovely day for £8 but just needs a tiny bit of tlc.

Can't fault this place at all! You must check it out! ✔️Great price - we were a big group (over 40) so we paid a discounted price. But if you were going without being part of a group, the price is still very good at 42.00 for a family of 4. (under 3 are free as well!) - you can pay cash or card. But can't book in advance! So you may have to queue up for a while. They open at 10:00 so would consider that. ✔️There is a nice enough Café where you can purchase an ok coffee for a decent price, and some snacks like sandwiches and crisps. ✔️indoor soft play area (seperate area for younger kids up to 4 yrs and a bigger area for older kids - max hight 1.50cm). The indoor area has many slides and many levels. The kids simply love it and do not get bored - Warning: this bit is at the entrance and is the only way out as well. Which means you will probably have to take into account the time you will spend in this area when you arrive AND when you are trying to leave! ✔️Lots of cute farm animals and birds to see. You can touch them but unfortunately, with the new regulation, you cannot go in their pen anymore. ✔️Lots of sitting area inside and picnic area/ shades as well as picnic benches with tables. You are allowed to take your own picnic to eat both indoor or outdoor! They even have a microwave for public use if you need to warm up milk or anything else! ✔️An amazing playground with so much to do, the kids have so much fun! There are some go carts for older kids as well as some mini tractors for younger ones and a sand pit, among so many other equipments, tractors, train etc. to explore! ✔️Clean toilets with plenty of room for child and parent to go in. Some nice lower sinks for kids to wash their hands on their own and a few disable toilets, as well as, parent and child toilet with nappy changing area robust enough even for older/heavier kids. Hand dryers are not overly loud and you do have the option to either use the disabled toilets if your child is scared or has sensory issues with loud noises or they have the paper towels option as well, which is handy. ✔️Hand washing area throughout the farm indoor and outdoor area in many spots, with soap, water and paper towels. But also dotted around you will find the hand sanitizer gel. Really good! ✔️Cute Teddy bear bins around the place which kids are more likely to throw their rubbish into. ✔️ Wheelchairs and buggies or strollers friendly. Plenty of room and even flooring throughout. ✔️If you can't find enough parking space right at the front of the entrance, you will see a sign for the overflow car park area which is big enough for many more cars! ❌If I really must think of one area of improvement... I would say it's a hard one as this place really ticks it all, but I would say perhaps the cafe area could give more options of food and offer some hot food as well. It would be a great addition if they had a tractor ride or barrel ride like many other farms do. But again, as an addition - as this place is amazing as it is! Thanks for...

Visited for first time last week. We paid £36 for two Adults & Two Children. When reading through website you are led to beleive quite a few animals to walk around and see at this farm, unfortunately this isnt the case. The first Pet area is good, Goats, Few Birds, Rabbits & Cows. You can not really see the Bunnies or get up close to have a good look. The Sheep are all locked in Paddacks and you can get up close. Unfortunately this place is not like other farms where you can purchase the feed. Pond area enclosed very small. We seen one pig and donkey on the outside. Our walk around must had taken no more than five minutes due to lack of farm animals. The outdoor play area is good, plenty to enjoy. However I felt I paid to take my children to a park which we could had found better at other local outdoor areas such as stanwick lakes for a small fee.

The indoor cafe, play area I did not find very clean, tables was filthy I had to clean a table and high chair with baby wipes before sitting. The Toilets was disgusting and also smelt of sewage. I did not see one member of staff front of house. The Soft play itself isnt massive but kids liked it. My under 5 was not really suitable for. Cafe does not sell hot food only small selection of sandwiches & Drinks. I purchased a cheese and cucumber sandwich and Spat it out. I have honestly never tasted a simple cheese and cucumber sandwich like this. Made with margarine as thick as the slice of cheese and just thrown together. It was awful. £9 entry is cheap but when your going with the family £36 for a outdoor park snd couole of farm animals is...
