Lovely tarmaced path walk around a large lake. Also has a visitor centre you can purchase gifts, souvenirs, food and drink. A little charity sponsored bike hire with cheap to hire interesting bikes and ride ons (they seem to facilitate for people with physical disabilities as well as their main USP). Toilet facilities, pretty adequately sized car park (£1 for an hour £1.50 for 3 hours or £3 for 24 hours) you can pay cash, card or via the app. Everywhere seems pretty accessible for prams and wheelchairs etc. The paths can get quite muddy so you need to be prepared with towels and good footwear during autumn and winter. They've recently renewed the play area and there really is something out there for all ages except maybe the youngest of children which I would think the ride on and swings would only be suitable. Although we had a 1 year old, 6 year old and 9 year old and it kept them all entertained for a good while and we only came away as it became a little too cool and windy. All in all a lovely almost free (except car parking) afternoon out.

Visited here on a dull day..surprised by the number of people walking around the lake, using the bike hire service and the play park. The visitor centre has toilets, some information about the Visitor centre construction as well as local tourist information leaflets. The cake purchased was delicious and the staff were able to tell me about any ingredients as I have a nut intolerance. I thought this was excellent, that they had the knowledge such as which was gluten free immediately. The staff were friendly and helpful. Service was quick and everywhere was clean and tidy. Good value. You have a lovely view of the lake from the cafe and there is an outdoor balcony area too. Definitely a good place to visit.

Lovely place. Well looked after but not to the detriment of the natural space. Paths all around the lake, accessible for wheelchairs and bike/wheelchair hire is available. Lots of wildlife, swans, geese, ducks and more. Off the path, wilder nature reserves can be explored. Picnic benches around the lake and a lovely cafe in the shape of an arc offering a variety of cakes and savoury snacks, eat inside, takeaway, or sit on the balcony overlooking the lake. Also adjacent to the canal if you want to walk further afield. Children's playground, ice cream van, and dogs allowed on leads to respect the wildlife and nesting birds. What more could you want? 🥰

Really like it here. Not been to the area before , very impressed. Cafe with outside deck overlooking the lake. Free parking and play park. You can buy duck food to feed the many ducks from the cafe . Nice flat path around the lake with some conservation areas which are nicely kept.... the volunteers do a grand job. The canal is right next to it so which we walked down the canal path after walking Around the lake. We got as far as the Burleigh pottery museum which has a cafe and shops. You can cross the canal nearby to it. Very interesting place unfortunately no time to go around the museum, but used the cafe!. A good day out in all

What a beautifully built visitor centre & kind to the planet. Stunning views & the business offers a great service & menu Staff worked really hard and was helpful. Extremely disappointed with all the information walls being covered mainly by stock I was really excited to learn more I don’t understand why you have these really amazing information plaques if they are all covered maybe move the plaques to the outside walls or around the bare walled conference room and make that accessible to public to read the information I appreciate the business makes the money to keep it open but this is not really well thought out

Fantastic place to sit and enjoy a light snack either indoors or outdoors. Dogs aren't allowed in the cafe but you can sit outside with them in the summer or winter. They have a nice selection of quick food, oat cakes, sausage rolls, scones, a children's selection of snacks. They have soya milk and vegan spread to replace butter, they also have naked bars and others of similar nature. You can buy bird food for £2 a box, as bread is not good for birds. There are small gifts but they can be expensive. The lake itself is beautiful all year round and has wonderful places to explore and can be walked all round.
