Please avoid!
The concept for this space has potential, but the execution is seriously poor especially for the price you pay to enter. We paid around £60 for on the day tickets for a group of 5. Food cost around £25 for 2 chips, 2 hot dogs, 3 drinks and a very sad looking sausage sandwich. To put it into perspective the sausage sandwich was 1 sausage cut into quarters on an unbuttered bread roll for £3.50. The hot dog was 1 sausage in a plain bun for £3.80…
However the main problem is the actual play area. The majority of the attractions you would attend the site for were either not open or are very tired and in need of some attention. The drop slides is a drop SLIDE as only one was inflated and it also stopped working part way through the day.
To add to it, the atmosphere in the play park is very odd, it almost seems as though it is unmanned and you are left to your own devices exploring an abandoned site. The staff that are present are only present in physical form, they do not interact with you or monitor attractions. Quite the opposite to what you expect as before you enter the site there is a large list of rules to abide by. Are these pre-written as the staff will not reiterate them or ensure they are being kept to?
There is also essentially 0 health and safety at the park with both the fun house and haunted house completely unmanned, the bouncy castle area also unmanned with live wires on show, the jumping pillow also unmanned, the zip wires… also unmanned. To cut it short nearly every attraction is unmanned so it really is a free for all.
The haunted house and fun house look as though they have been left from Halloween, alongside the slaughterhouse style attraction. They are empty and abandoned so you just walk around looking at horror themed scenery wondering whether there is supposed to be actors inside or if it’s purposefully been left empty and desolate.
The archery and ball blasting activity was also underwhelming when it was actually open and there is again 0 health and safety as the area in which you are shooting or aiming in is completely open to the public and anyone could just walk past.
You are basically paying to wander around an almost abandoned play area with outdated and poorly kept attractions. Or to play on play equipment you could get at a local park for free.
When speaking to other individuals in the park they mirrored the above experience. It’s a shame really as the website and promotional videos show a completely different scene.
The Ice Cream Farm in Cheshire is probably a better place to visit. Applejacks was very disappointing and underwhelming. I would ask for a refund but they make it clear when you are booking that it is non refundable. After my visit I can understand why they stress this so much when you are booking, as I can imagine the requests for refund would be...

Massive car park
We received a very warm and happy welcome from the ladies in the green skirts this morning which was nice. All the staff are very lovely.
Entering the actual park area…WOW !!!! Absolutely vast, nicely laid out, very clean and tidy lots and lots of space between every attraction, plentiful amount of tables/benches to sit at.
BIGGEST PIECE OF ADVICE BEFORE YOU VISIT HERE :- Definitely bring a picnic* We will come here again but we will bring a picnic. The food is very mediocre and mega expensive for what you get. A kid’s box is £7.50. You get 2 triangles of a sandwich 😳, 1 pack of crisp (whatever flavour they put in you don’t get a choice BUT you can ask for it to be changed if it’s a flavour that’s not liked) a carton drink & 2 sweets. Cheeseburger £6.50 4x Chicken nuggets/chips meal £6.50
Drinks were expensive and we only had 2 each for the time we were here.
The pricing on the food should definitely be lower to accommodate those who didn’t bring a picnic for whatever reason. The eating area had plentiful tables but not many people were using it as lots of people had their picnics.
There is absolutely loads to do for the kids and myself and my hubby thoroughly enjoyed the ball blast…that was such fun.
There’s the usual ‘pay as you go’ rides most £1 the quad karts are £2. Our g/kids really enjoyed them.
We would definitely come again and the weather would have to be nice otherwise it would literally be a wash out due to most of it being outdoors.
We give it 4 stars deducting 1 star for the food/pricing.
P.S. THE PIG RACING WAS VERY UNCOMFORTABLE TO WATCH DUE TO THE STAFF BANGING ON THE PIG HOUSING TO GET THEM OUT AND SHAKING A SPRAY CAN WHICH HAS GOT A BALL BEARING IN IT TO MAKE A NOISE JUST TO GET THEM OUT OF THE ACTUAL ENCLOSURE INTO THE ‘RACE TRACK’. THE PIGS ARE ONLY YOUNG AND LOOKED GENUINELY FRIGHTENED AND KEPT TRYING TO HIDE FROM THE STAFF. THIS IS AN ‘ATTRACTION THAT SHOULD DEFINITELY BE STOPPED. MYSELF AND MY HUSBAND FELT VERY UNCOMFORTABLE...
Read moreThis place has an unreal amount of potential, but when you go on a ‘quiet’ day it’s disappointing. The amount of things to do for kids is great and overall we had a good day, but to pay £40 for 2 adults and a 4 yr old, to then the first thing you walk in and see you have to pay for is hugely disappointing. We went to the ball shooter at the targets, completely missed the 10cm sign that said loud noises, one went off and scared the life out of son who hates noise! He was then apprehensive of trying anything else that makes noise.
Went to the quad bike course got told it’s £1, gave a £1 and it didn’t work. Lady said battery must have died you’ll have to go get a refund. So we get a refund, he goes back puts it in another one and now a guy said it’s £2, so great lost the £1 again as only had one on us, didn’t expect to pay for anything else after the high entry costs so lost the £1 again and had to ask to pay on card to get £1 cash back - Great…
Tractor ride, lady telling us to go on as there is characters, all decorations up from Halloween, not very kid friendly and quite boring, we saw two characters who just waved at us… went in the tunnel, could of maybe had card board character cut outs, the fairy lights on, maybe even music, but nothing.
Then decided to get an ice cream, and the lady says, ‘oh sorry all the cones are broken’ didn’t say much else..
Advertised a disco on at 4pm, no disco, just the staff waving us out..
Playbarn looked exciting, get in and it’s pitch black, seem to not do anything with it, again still Halloweeny with some pretty scary clown and scream faces on the walls.
They’re was probably 20 people there, all day. More effort should be made even when quiet, if you have staff in then make use of them, some were fantastic and eager, some looked like they were waiting to go home.
It was a massive shame for the money, but like I say so much potential. If you are going to charge people when they are in maybe reduce the fees to get in, all the inflatables and balls were filthy inside the marque, a...
