A Decent Stop for a Short Hike at Sundon Hills Country Car Park Rating: ★★★☆☆ (3 out of 5 stars) I recently visited Sundon Hills Country Car Park for a short hiking trip, and while it provided a decent place to stretch my legs, I found the experience to be less than inspiring. Upon arrival, the car park itself was easily accessible with ample parking spaces. However, I noticed several cars with people just sitting inside, which struck me as a bit odd. I'm not sure what they were doing there, but it didn't seem to impact my hiking experience. As for the hiking trails, they were mostly through fields and over tractor paths, which lacked the diversity and natural beauty that I typically look for in a hiking destination. The trails were well-maintained, but the scenery was rather monotonous and not very stimulating. Overall, if you're in the area and need a quick stop for a short hike, Sundon Hills Country Car Park is an adequate choice. However, don't expect a truly captivating or memorable experience. It's a decent place to stretch your legs and get some fresh air, but you might want to explore other options for a more inspiring hiking adventure.

A nice 5-mile walk from the car park and taking in Sharpenhoe Clappers. Great scenery and for a couple of miles at least you could think you were in the middle of nowhere. A pity though people disrespect the car park, rather a lot of litter.

Lovely place to walk around, maps and trail marker to help with the walk and good estimated times. Plenty of space to park and lovely views

Maybe 20-30 parking bays plus another half dozen allocated for disabled badge holders ( seemed to be well respected when I was there). Very close to the parkland through a gate. Some information boards. Looked a bit tatty as it seemed that it might be used for late night parking/ fast food eating (lots of...
