Dawlish Warren Beach — Attraction in Teignbridge

I love his place. The beach is exactly what you want for children. Even when tide is fully in, you can walk a couple of hundred feet, when it's out - even further. It just feels safe. There are plenty of lifeguards around too.

The surrounding area has plenty to do for all ages including the go kart track, fun fair, ice-cream and donuts hut, amusements, open spaces and natural wonders to explore.

Parking can be a challenge at peak times and getting in past the Marina can be a challenge as its a very narrow road and people do tend to park on the road outside the pub. Just be careful when you go through the tunnel to get to the car park - I think I've clipped a few people with the wing mirror.

If you have kids, then you'll enjoy this place, I'm not just on about the beach, I'm on about the whole place and seafront, even from Mount Pleasant Inn, this whole area looks just like Canvey Island in Essex, man made and cheaper than a kiss me quick hat from Brighton. There needs to be some work done here by the council and community to bring it up. Yeah ok it has it's points, but then so does every place. The railway yeah that's fine, but the works yards need to go, tidy the place up, give people a real reason to come here and spend all day investing money into the local area. Beautiful beach. The beach have way too much construction and sea defences that ruins the sight. However the national park is very well preserved for wild birds in the area. The beach is very clean and the food is reasonably cheap. There are toilets and changing room near by which is very convenient however it a little busy from time to time. You can go to the beach and relax and don't have to spend any money if you're on a budget but they're arcades and rides which are tempting for the kids.
