Well, what a fabulous fabulous week we’ve just had at Welcome Family Holiday Park. I have been doing caravan holidays since I was little (I’m now 48) I’ve stayed on many caravan parks ranging from the IOW, North Wales, Devon, Norfolk, Scotland, Lincolnshire, France, Spain & many others & I have to say Welcome Family Holiday Park has to be the best I’ve ever stayed at. It has a Spanish vibe about it which is utterly fabulous & given we had an amazing week of unspoilt sunshine we felt like we were in Spain 🇪🇸 🤗😎 It’s an extremely clean site which is always a bonus, lots of refuse bins so no excuse for strewn litter. There is crazy golf near reception which is nice & FREE !! 🏌️‍♀️🏌️ We had a CasaMora static caravan which was very minimal BUT WOWZERS was it clean. Definitely the cleanest caravan I’ve ever stayed in & it smelt so fresh and sanitised. The beds were very comfortable and we slept in most mornings & just didn’t want to get out of bed 😆 We had an issue with the shower not draining, my husband went to reception to inform them and they fixed it straight away…absolutely excellent service. You can access the clubhouse most of the day which is usually quite empty. There is a bar & also an eatery which serves very nice food, the service is fast & the waiting on staff are lovely. It’s not cheap but not mega expensive either. The clubhouse is big, smells so so clean with lots of seating (it opens at 6pm for the evening entertainment) and people were queuing up to get the seats near the stage. We did queue up but to get a bigger table as there were 9 of us so sat nearer the bar area, weren’t bothered about being near the stage. The entertainment…well, that has to be given a 10/10. Absolutely fantastic !!!! The kids entertainment is also a 10/10 our g/kids 6 & 8 loved every minute. Our g/daughter was 8 whilst there & they all sang Happy Birthday to her, she loved that 😊 The swimming pools are not massive but are clean & the kids loved them. The actual site is less than a 10 minute walk to the Warren which is another lovely place to go for food, funfair, amusements, shops, the beach, funfair & go-karts so you won’t have to pay for parking…just walk 🤗 We are booking again for Easter because we loved it so much & what made it even better…Friday was our last day, we had been playing bingo every night & not won & have a guess what…? WE WON !!! The big jackpot !!!! Fabulous ending to a fabulous week at Welcome Family Holiday Park. 10/10 🤗🤗🤗🤗🤗🤗🤗🤗🤗🤗 ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️

I own a Lodge / Villa posh Caravan really on Golden Sands Holiday Park .Its a good site but ground rent goes up yearly ! I dont rent out ( I did intend to ) as you cannot earn what Park say you can + you cant compete with Park deals .I brought my place as a onvestment but I wouldnt recommend it as Park will not give you a good price when buying back .( I was intially told by a Sales person that the Caravans / Lodges hold there price + can earn up to £ 9.000 + year this isnt true once Park have taken there cut / cleaning maintainence / Gas + Electric / water rates are deducted . The Vans are not easily sold as they depreciate so much in price in a short space of time , you are given a poor quote by Park to buy back once you buy ! Sian in sales very helpful as is Stacey + Branda at reception .2 guys on Park gardening are lovely as are maintance guys such as Marcus onsite Gas sevice etc hes good + does a really good job .The Owners end is at the beginning of the site near Sales up until Devon view ,some that live in that area think they are incharge not Park ! They can be Quite rude ,difficult tell lies to the site Manager Mitchelle . Most of the Sales team have been changed which in my opinion is a good thing met Mat recently who is very nice friendly .There are other staff that go the extra mile but to many to name here .The Caravans / Lodges soon deteriate with the sea air / wear + tear by some friends + family Devon view is the holiday end busy in the summer + some of the holiday makers by all account from cleaning staff leave the vans in a bad state ! .I dont rent out for this reason as its dosent pay what your told during the Sales pitch ! . Lang stone Hotel I can highly recommend ,family friendly etc .If you fancy buying I'd recommend staying onsite particularly during peak season as it can be a eye opener ,Securitory is on site ( White Van patrolling overnight )Barrier at sales after 19.00hrs fob require to drive throughvthe Park ( mind you can drive through the top end nr the Pool + Bar area without any such measures inplace ! ) More Security is on site in the bar area etc at peak hol times due to high spirits ! They have there work cut out particularly when large groups of same sexed adults that are allowed to rent out caravans ( Devon view end ) this can also be at start of the season ! Roudy noisy drinking ++ equals boys being boys ! I like to see people enjoying themselves but prefer not to hear them late in the evening .

We rented a casita lodge. The lodge was spacious with 3 bedrooms, lounge, kitchen, dining area, bathroom and an en-suite in one bedroom. It was nice to have a bath in the main bathroom with ample hot water and good water pressure. Downside was a fridge freezer that was not working properly, an oven which had not been properly cleaned, wardrobes with sliding doors that did not slide, taps that wobbled alarmingly in the kitchen and bathroom and some ants that wanted to join us on holiday. Beds were not made up on arrival. Linen has to be collected to make the rooms up yourself. Considering the fees they charge this is pretty poor service. Reception is only open 9am to 6pm and you cannot phone them direct to lodge a complaint. They use a service centre. Their maintenance staff were very helpful. They gave us a replacement fridge freezer, took the doors off the wardrobes that were giving us problems and ant powder to deal with our unwanted visitors. The laminate on the wardrobe doors was failing and glue permeated the surface making them sticky. They were aware of this issue but had not rectified it before our arrival. Their cleaning staff could not have been doing their job properly as these problems should have been reported and fixed before we arrived. After we arrived we noted their cleaners were doing their thorough covid 19 clean in 10 minutes on neighboring properties. Not good enough. Parking on site is a bit hit and miss. Where spaces are marked on the main driveways they are barely long enough to park in. There are some end-on parking spaces that are better but everyone makes a bee line for these or they are reserved for disabled visitors so you may not get to park outside your own accommodation. The staff are very friendly and helpful, the entertainment staff are very good, there is bingo every night and their amusements machines pay out cash instead of those annoying tickets. The site is ideally positioned as it is close to Dawlish Warren station, buses stop right outside and there are supermarkets and eateries within easy walking distance. Our issues were taken up with management who investigated, agreed with the majority of our issues and refunded us £100 as the faults did impact on the enjoyment of our holiday.

This is a great place to be with the family. We stayed for a week in one of the classic coral reef caravans which was nice. When we arrived unfortunately our caravan hadn't been cleaned as there was hair on in the shower, crumbs of food on the kitchen work tops, and a lot of dust in the rooms.

We contacted reception about it, they were polite but not overly helpful. The reception told us that we should have told them sooner and couldn't move us to another caravan. Reception did offer to send a cleaner but we're unfortunately disabled and needed to rest upon arriving, and needed a quiet space uninterrupted so it wasn't ideal. I'd like to point out that this is the only time that this has happend in the 12 years we have been visiting your holiday park, all the other visits we've not had an issue.

The entertainment is great, both of our children really admire the entertainment team (Jack was their favourite!), but all of you work hard to give everyone a good time consistently which is sincerely appreciated.

The food is okay and is a little bit expensive for what it is. I do like the take away and delivery service as accessibility can sometimes be difficult for us personally.

The bar staff feel more friendly than the café staff but that's no issue, It's just what we've always experienced. I understand this can be subjective. I've never felt guilty for asking for more condiments before lol.

So all in all its pretty great and we'll always visit each year...

The one thing we all wish could improve is the WiFi. I understand people go on holidays like this to enjoy the entertainment but it's 2023, and people need a decent WiFi connection in 2023. If you offer it, and charge for it then make it worthwhile for all caravans on the park with a decent enough connection. We have consistently done speed tests and our highest was 0.2mbs download which is completely pointless as you can't do anything with that.

We love the entertainment and the amenities but in the evening it would be great if we had the option of being in the caravan together watching a film on Netflix when we need a bit of quiet time, after being over socialised and need a little down time to refresh. Netflix needs a stable 2mbs stable Internet connection to stream a film just to give a little bit of context. If you improved the internet you'd make more money because you charge more money per user over 1. You'd have every family paying for all of the group to have Internet access which would be an increased ROI by at least 300% on what you currently earn for providing it. Please ❤️ 🙏 ❤️ could you improve it.We are coming back this June.

My family and I booked this holiday place. We stayed for one week August 2018. A lot of family and friends recommended this place we usually stay across the road at hazelwood but we wanted something different. Firstly the parts I loved: The night entertainment was amazing! My 6 year old and 2 year old brothers wouldn’t come away! Every night was amazing, so many opportunities to get involved and even aimed at adults later on aswell. Couldn’t fault it. The indoor pool was lovely; nice and warm and friendly for babies too. It did get busy but it is expected in August. It’s great fun and also another part of the park I couldn’t fault. The staff are lovely and helpful, however, we had a few problems in our lodge and couldn’t ge help since the reception shuts at 6 so we was a bit disappointed in that. The night time entertainers were amazing with the kids! The thing that annoyed me was that to see the characters dressed up and to even get near them cost money!!!!! My brothers are so young and obviously got really upset and had to miss out because we didn’t plan on taking so much money!!!!! The drinks/ food/ snacks are very overpriced too! It seemed like they were trying to get money for everything which was one of the main downsides of the week. The accommodation was honestly dirty!! The floor looked like it hadn’t been cleaned properly, it wasn’t very spacious considering it’s supposed to be a lodge to accommodate 6 people! There was only 4 chairs at the dining table !!!!! And 2 chairs and a small sofa!!! The only thing I liked was the beds and balcony area. Would not recommend the Casafinia! The mini golf was great! Something fun to pass an hour or two and the only free thing about the park (considering we paid over a grand in the first place) so that was great. The children’s park was swarmed with wasps which isn’t ‘kid friendly’ at all which the whole park is supposed to be anyway!!!!!!!! The daytime activities were good. My brother won penalty shootout and was kept busy for a few hours doing that. There were a variety of acitivites for the children to do throughout the week so we was more than happy with that. In conclusion I personally wouldn’t return simply because it isn’t a good value for money. Half the things you have to pay for once you get there anyway and the accommodation was outright outrageous for a grand! Also had to pay for WiFi! It says free but only for one person so that cost an additional £21.00. Maybe the other accommodations are better, but this is just my...
