It was a real great experience when we visited Trago. This started with a free parking with plenty of parking spaces in addition to a range of cafes, bakery and tea rooms.Children Adventures were amazing with a variety of activities for kids and family as well. I like the train pretty much and I like the rides. We will definitely be coming back.

It's surprising how few people visit the show gardens that are above the main garden centre. Although they are now a little bit neglected the design of each of them can still be seen. When we visit Trago we always walk around them (weather dependent). It was interesting to see how much wildlife, bees, butterflies we saw today

We always have a great time here. Our daughter enjoys it too. We had fun seeing the Model Railway and then a train ride. Looking at the animals and a look around the shops. Also good food. We go back regularly as it's a good day out.

Stopped here for the day while holidaying in Devon with my 8 and 4 year old. Many rides and attractions closed and broken. The whole place looked very sad and run down. Determined to make the most of the day we bought tokens for the things that were open. The first ride my son put his token in, accepted the credit but didn't work. A dead rat was visible in the bumper boats and the whole place didn't look as if it has been maintained in some time. On visiting the animals we were appaled to view 4 staff members attempting to maneuver a large pig into it's pen, clearly frustrated with it they were shouting and swearing aggressively at the poor animal.

At this point deciding enough was enough we went to complain. I was informed by the security manager a large number of staff had walked out recently and the whole site was currently without management. The security team had been left in charge and were not trained to run the rides or look after the animals.

He agreed to refund our tokens, but I would strongly advise...

Awful service in carpet dept. Made a special trip to purchase two new rugs. Rugs in piles with notes on top saying 'do not remove , counted for stocktake'. Assumed this applied to staff as dept not closed so took some time( in view of staff) choosing the rugs we wanted. When we asked assistant for help he said we couldnt buy the rugs as they were counted for stocktake. We explained we had made a special trip soley to buy rugs and asked if rugs were for sale or not. He said they werent. The fact the shop was open, the dept was open and no signs were up apart from the hand written note on some of the piles saying 'do not remove' was obviously confusing. My husband saw red and asked if there was a manager available to have the conversation with. Another employee said we could have them but both staff were miserable and unwelcoming. Neither cracked a smile and barely made eye contact. Must be the most miserable place to work if morale so low! Certainly didnt cheer our day in any way. Awful experience...

Plenty of free level parking and toilet facilities (but try and go to the ones in Staple Hill Servery as these are the better ones on the site). They have a great range, lots of stock, fantastic selection of plants in the garden centre .. and lots to see and do here - visit the show gardens at the back of the garden centre if you can. The fun park items could do with updating and a really good scrub, but there are some free play areas for the kids and some arcade games to keep them happy. The petrol is normally the cheapest in the area but if you time it wrong there can be huge queues, so pick your moment to fill up. There are a few places to eat which ensures every taste is catered for (especially if you like chips and cake). The peacocks, although noisy, are a friendly bunch so don't be afraid of them. And if you want to do some shopping the Coop is generally pretty quiet (with lots of it's own parking so its easy to see if it's likely...
