Used to go every summer when I was young and absolutely adored the place, it has a big place in my heart, but it has lately gone greatly downhill. The staff are all young teenagers who are unenthusiastic about their job and just numb/uncaring/rude. We were attempting to get on the train, me and my two 10 year old siblings and the driver just completely ignored us and drove away leaving my younger brother sad and at near tears. The grounds and amusements are dirty and unkept with oil in the lakes and rides looking dirty. We once had to fight for seating at the food court and wait for hours in line for food but now the place is barron and abandoned. Trago Mills has just completely lost its magic and it really saddens me. I really hope it will improve soon and regain...
Read moreLovely walk around! There are small garden-plots with different themes (canal, Devon cottage, Pub, Roman, Greek, 4 Seasons, etc). Fair warning... There is quite a bit to see at Trago (entirety), and the Garden Park can easily chew up a few hours if the weather is good.
Very creative, inspiring and relaxing! I walk through each time I visit Trago. Watching the birds and squirrels is nice. A wonderful series of photo opportunities. A genius way to advertise sales stock!
Trickling water has always been relaxing to me, and a welcome restful break from the hours of roam the store/s.

Read moreThis is well worth a visit if you're at Trago Newton Abbot. As well as cheap plants and a huge range of pots, there's some lovely show gardens to visit .. head out the door to the plant area, up the steps and have a leisurely look around the gardens. Back down where the plants are, there are always peacocks milling around and if you time it right, you can see the chicks following their mothers about .. and you can get pretty close to take photos of these cuties. The males seem to like to display a lot, so you can also get some great pictures with their tails fully fanned out and looking magnificent in the sunshine (assuming the sun shines...
