Great afternoon out for parents and children. Mistley woods is accessible via the Village Hall, which offers free parking. The woods are hilly, the paths are all bare ground, many covered in leavers and dead wood. This brings a real earthy odour and closeness to nature in the environment. The trees are simply magnificent, including the spectacular Old Knobbley itself. Not many places to sit, nor own arises in the wood itself, so not ideal for stopping to eat.
