Andover's little slice of heaven. I regularly visit. A lush and beautiful lake, with a bounty of wildlife (it is a pleasure to watch the cygnets/goslings/ducklings grow!), and despite being able to hear the nearby A303...is very peaceful. There is a good amount of benches, bins and the paths are clear and have minimal litter. One side of the lake is a dog-free "gated" wildlife path. Back towards town is a large field with plenty of dog/child play areas. The River Anton splits and runs through the backs of the residential areas, leading back to town..it is simply blissful to walk through and I have yet to get bored of this amazing place.. I also have been extremely lucky enough to spot the local Eurasian Otter family in the evening!

Loved this place. I walk and hike a lot and it was a real pleasure. However, I didn’t walk as far as I would have liked because this place is infested with rats! I encountered many and they were not frightened by me. I left the path around the lakes and went up onto the field area with the little play park and once again, encountered several more rats there. Had enough and finally left early. So sad as I am sure they would frighten other, more natural indigenous wild life, from living there

Andover is so blessed with having free to visit public places on the River Anton, and Rooksbury Mill is one of them. Whether you are walking, running, bird watching, walking the dog or you just fancy finding a waterside seat to watch the world go by, the lakes and river at Rooksbury Mill are the place to be. You'll see loads of wildlife, including ducks, waterfowl, dragonflies, wild flowers and more, depending on the time of year. A treasure!

Walk my dog here regularly. Huge dog field, plenty of exercise area. 2 large ponds or lakes. Full of wildlife. If your lucky you can sometimes get to see otters and water voles, also King fishers. Lots of birds to see Herons, little Egrets and the usual swans and ducks ect. Must keep dogs on leads if walking them around the water as this is a reserve. Plenty of poop bins so no excuses to not pick up. Children's play area and fenced court for ball games. On the river Anton very pretty area and easy...
