Andover's little slice of heaven. I regularly visit. A lush and beautiful lake, with a bounty of wildlife (it is a pleasure to watch the cygnets/goslings/ducklings grow!), and despite being able to hear the nearby A303...is very peaceful. There is a good amount of benches, bins and the paths are clear and have minimal litter. One side of the lake is a dog-free "gated" wildlife path. Back towards town is a large field with plenty of dog/child play areas. The River Anton splits and runs through the backs of the residential areas, leading back to town..it is simply blissful to walk through and I have yet to get bored of this amazing place..

Read moreWalk my dog here regularly. Huge dog field, plenty of exercise area. 2 large ponds or lakes. Full of wildlife. If your lucky you can sometimes get to see otters and water voles, also King fishers. Lots of birds to see Herons, little Egrets and the usual swans and ducks ect. Must keep dogs on leads if walking them around the water as this is a reserve. Plenty of poop bins so no excuses to not pick up. Children's play area and fenced court for ball games. I encountered many and they were not frightened by me. I left the path around the lakes and went up onto the field area with the little play park and once again, encountered several more rats there.
