📍 Brookers Oast, Hop farm, Kent 🍔 Nice enough meal, my dinner was tasty and we saved so much money with our vouchers. We had our wedding at the shires oast, so I used little bell tent Hotel to pitch me 6 tents at the hop farm campsite next door and I brought my motorhome and a few others pitched their own tents. We had two night here, first night campfire and second was the wedding next door and both was amazing! Sue in the touring office was amazing from booking start to finish. She has been helpful with putting my our separate bookings together and my constant emails getting it all sorted! Shires oast as a wedding venue is beautiful, we are vegans so we requested a vegan buffet and they definitely delivered! It was amazing! Tempeh veg was my favourite! Lots of vegan “cheese and meats” venue staff were very helpful. Small problem at the start with dates but after that was sorted Penny was very contactable and helpful xx

Only our second time camping so we are complete newbies to it. Found people on site very friendly. Some really enjoyed themselves until early hours. But wasnt an issue for us. Found the reception very helpful. Only dissapointing thing was the confusion/misunderstanding with us leaving later but i can understand. The shower and toilet facilities are clean and tidy and also the washing up facilities are good too. Really enjoyed our visit and learning more about the joys of camping/touring. Thanks guys looking forward to coming back :)

Liked: We have always loved the hop farm, its local, fellow campers are friendly, we make good memories, the fields are so big the children can let all their energy out, the toilets and showers have always been lovely, the warmest showers I’ve ever experienced whilst camping. Enjoy the car boot sale on the bank holiday weekends. Have absolutely nothing but love and respect for the lady that welcomes you as you arrive in the hut, I believe her name is Sue. She goes above and beyond to help people out and explains everything so well and no question is a stupid question. We used to absolutely love it here.

Disliked: It really saddens me that whilst I’m looking through all of these feedback comments that the lack of customer service coming from the ‘manager/warden’ is outrageous. Having experience working within customer service and dealing with really unpleasant clients/customers, I would never dream of replying to feedback in such a bogan manor, all that seems to be happening is arguing back rather then apologising and offering solutions on how to fix these problems. Please think about your replies and think how it reflects on the business, hop farm is starting to get a bad name for itself.I’d also like to add that your reply to the lady below Tanya I think was actually aimed at my family and I by the sounds of it. As I believe this lady was in the non electric field through the woods, so again if you’re going to have a dig at people please ensure you collect the correct facts. My family and I all booked electric and it definitely was not you that changed us all around to be next to each other, it was the lovely women in the hut that has been working here for the last 10 years. Fortunately I had never seen you on any of our visits within the last 5 years and I just thought you were somebody from another tent. Understand rules are rules but please ensure you vocalise them with the correct manor when dealing with members of the public. We apologised straight away for myself kicking a football to a 5 year old, who then kicked it back to me, thankfully she’s not quite Jarrod Bowen at the moment so we didn’t see a problem with it but obviously was hit back with a very rude comment that there was a sign at the front, understood but when you have 3 excited children in the back I didn’t have time to pull my magnify glass out to read the small print on the sign as we pulled in. Which may I add AGAIN,I personally apologised to you as you stormed off to crush other kids fun. I will 100% agree with you that there was no music blaring until 3am next to your caravan or our tents, however as stated above this lady was pitched up on the other field. Again collect facts before replying back to paying customers who have been loyal to you over 10 years as the lady said. Also about the cars driving up and down racing, that also was correct… over by the wedding venue where Reform had their party, doing donuts and speeding up and down, pretending to crash into each other. That’s the sort of stuff you need to police, not 5 year olds playing football between her tent and an open field, but again…. We respected the rules once you barked them at us but obviously them idiots in the car got given different ‘rules’.. fair. I am absolutely disgusted in your attitude towards everyone who’s said something negative. It seems like everyone else is the issue. Personally I was going to let everything slide as all the kids had a brilliant time and made some lovely memories as well as us adults did, but when I can quite clearly see you’ve assumed the lady below was someone completely different meaning you’ve ignored her actual complaint and bad mouthed someone that was not even involved. Professional. Unfortunately with any business you will have negative feedback, even more unfortunate is when the negative are more then the positives and the only people that can change that is yourself and the rest of the team. Don’t take it out on people that pay money to make memories, like I said hop farm has always been our go to place. I think 5 years of working here has been too much for you and maybe you need to consider a different career path which doesn’t involve members of the public or participate in a customer service course to ensure future customers won’t endure this rudeness. I want to make clear this is NOT aimed at the lovely lady in the hut that welcomes you to your stay, she goes above and beyond.Word of advice a simple sorry can do wonders rather than arguing with people on here for everyone that wants to book hop farm to see, that in itself is awful and...

If you're thinking of camping here for a joyful experience I would seriously consider somewhere else. What a hell hole of a place hop farm is. A group of us, family members, camped here over the weekend, have been coming back year after year never had a problem.

When we turned up we were told the usual rules, where are you staying? Non electric..pick anywhere you like….

Once we were all set up and settled, we were rudely told we had to take our tents down and move, because it was a public pathway to the river (there is no signs or any railings up to corner this part off so would never know if was a pathway) and we were never told we couldn’t set up there. We left plenty of room around our area for everyone to enjoy the river and people were coming and going no problem at all! This was the first of many problems.

On Saturday we enjoyed a day of playing games, even a big game of rounders! We're a mixed group, kids, mums, dads, uncles, aunts, nans, grandads, all ages!

Decided to have a bit of music for one of the family members birthdays and a bbq on Saturday evening, was having a great time enjoying ourselves. Turned the music down to be caring of the others around us, (even though there were disrespectful people blasting music until 2.30am the night before, chopping down wood, being drunk and disorderly) it was around 10.30pm and the lady who 'mans' the site came storming into our set up no warning at all, yanked the speaker up shouting 'turn this off I'm confiscating this speaker, I'm taking it away. Im taking it with me!’ shouting and grabbing at our family members 'how do I turn this off'. She then attacked a 16 year old girl, grabbed her round the throat and broke her necklace, assaulted a grown women, tried to break someone's property and wouldn't leave us alone (this obviously got everyone worried, children were crying and horrified! Family members even left for fear of their own safety). We were trying to get her and her husband to leave and the police were called. This is when we realised how DRUNK they were.

So this man and lady are supposed to be in charge of hundreds of people camping on this site, but they are allowed to be completely drunk and wasted driving around in vehicles, then assaulting members of the public because we had our music on. (No other members of staff were seen the whole weekend we were there. Just this couple)

Such a lack of professionalism, they had it gunning from us the minute we got there. Not a warm welcome, rules not explained properly and just plain rude!

If anyone knows us, they know we don't cause problems, we are just family members trying to have a nice time together and make memories.

Police took statements, other campers around us as witnesses heard everything. Attempted theft and assault on more than two people! The reviews speak for themselves. What a disgrace.

These people should not be in charge of this site, they are rude, have no people skills, no communication skills, no management skills whatsoever, drink on the job! Imagine if something horrific happened and your life is left in the hands of these two people, pissed on the job!.

I don’t know who thinks it’s acceptable to act like that in the first place let alone a place where there are babies and children! And to assault a young 16 year old girl who didn’t do anything wrong!

These people need to be shared far and wide, remember their faces because they are unpleasant and uncaring of their actions and certainly should not be in charge of a...
