A really beautiful and historical place, such a peaceful and relaxing spot. We sat in the orchard and it was literally buzzing with bees, wasps and hornets. Its a steep walk up to the old house site so not for those with mobility issues. The carpark is really small, probably no more than eight cars could park there. As its not tarmacked you'll need wellies after heavy rain. Cattle are in the fields so you'll need to keep your dog on a lead. No toilets, cafe, shop, plant sales or children's playground.

Lovely but very short walk. Like going around a big garden. I thought we would see ruins of house but nothing left. Nice dog walk for half an hour. Writing on gates to say what had been there was nice touch. Tiny car park.

A magical place to roam and explore with kids and dogs. Such a shame the old rebuilt House burnt down, it looked beautiful. But what remains are vast open fields, old trees, bluebells, birds. A nature lovers paradise.

Very disappointing, there was absolutely nothing there !! It’s ok if you just want to walk through fields, but there wasn’t even anywhere to sit. There were masses of horse flies and my husband and I both got bitten. We took a picnic with us, but there wasn’t anywhere to eat it. Maybe if we’d carried on walking, we may have found something interesting, but it was a very hot day, so we decided to...

This could be a lovely peaceful, ancient feeling walk. However the only sign with a map (which looks fairly new yet has multiple grammatical errors) is in the car park so once you get to the ruins of the house - you have no idea where to go other than back the way you came! Would happily visit again if there was some sort of...
