Beautiful little hidden gem with a gorgeous little woodland walk. My Grandkids loved it, thought it was a magical garden with fairies and giants. A very peaceful picnic area with lots of benches (leave no trace behind) and some outstanding varied floral displays and a pond. The house is lovely and well kept, in fact the whole place is very looked after. Dogs to be kept on a lead but that’s not a problem and they can be let off a little further up on the Devisdale. A little cafe serving drinks here would be perfect but I guess that would attract more people and make it less a place to go to sit and think and chat as my hubby...
Read moreI can recall exploring this place as a youngster when it was more of a jungle than a garden. Now it is more easily accessed and open. The volunteer gardeners have to be praised for all the hard work done to make it more of a mini floral nature trail. Should be a riot of colour in the summer. I'd love to see the pond opened up a little with less plant life. Midge hell in summer! Fish used to be present. Worth spending an hour or so exploring as it's not too large a place. Read moreA lovely spot which is rarely too busy, except from the point of view of parking on weekdays as is it a place of work. Devisdale is very popular with dog walkers and a pleasant spot, if you go outside of typical dog walking times (i.e weekend daytimes and just after school) then it's lovely and quiet.
